  1. you might wanna look at Tim's pictures again...including the instructions that show the lens being installed...
  2. I think mine will be about $45 delivered to California...from HLJ
  3. They are now due in April....that's the only "news" so far.
  4. Because the dollar is high now or the yen is low....I forget which. But you can only take advantage of this by buying from a Japanese source.
  5. What went wrong up front? Is that fixable? It looks like the radiator might be too low and it is out of square, perhaps if you could safely remove it the body might align better? Kind of shame to have that show up after final assembly when you had done all that great work.
  6. The Model Roundup description would fit for the 65 (word for word... even the reference to the oringinal AMT kit). The Revell kits are virtually the same, just different years. In other words, the term new tooling isn't all that relevent here, because both are "new tooling" compared to the decades old AMTs....so there are 2 "new" 65s(hardtop and convertible) and one "new" 66 hardtop.
  7. The key phrase here is "based on"...the 66 is much newer but shares chassis and engine parts with (one)of the 65s. (the other had a 409) hope this clears it up for you.....
  8. as subtle as a train wreck? The thread did wander a bit...
  9. You're right Art...and the pic is a fake. Maybe by someone who thought that degree of camber looked "cool"?
  10. I checked the Model A photo for a source...I found the same picture showing the sedan with a stock stance, in fact it looks stock with the banjo rear end except the tall skinny 16 inch tires (all the same size). The photo we're talking about appears to have been photoshopped. So no irs,no broken axle. Mystery solved?
  11. Model As were basically the same in 28-29 (styling) the 30-31s had smooth cowls and different fenders, aprons and grille shells. They are all smaller than 32s. the main visual difference between car radiator shells and trucks was the truck's were one piece stampings and the 32 car had a separate insert for the grille. Google the two different Model As for other differences...The point of my comment was that picture was not of the car that revell is putting out. Not on a 32 frame, wrong year body etc...even tho it was a neat car..
  12. . edit nope no irs.the photo is altered, I found this pic elsewhere and the sedan is nearly stock .
  13. That's a 30-31 Ford on a model A frame...with a 34 comercial radiator shell. FWIW
  14. I "caused" a lot of trouble when I mentioned the rear bumper guards were too tall on the new wagon.....I sure didn't wanna do that again.
  15. There isn't gonna be any chrome plating or hubcaps in this kit?
  16. I think if you need a perfectly "correct" 57 Ford....you just might have to buy a real one?
  17. I never built one but if it's in good shape that sounds like a fair price....
