  1. The first of three collections/museums we saw on our trip to the Pacific Northwest. This is the Montana Auto Museum in Deer Lodge Montana (about 37 miles outside Butte). It was totally unexpected and had some interesting vehicles. The next two will come in a couple days. https://www.flickr.com/x/t/0090009/photos/142581265@N08/sets/72157674433720785/
  2. Have three in white
  3. He was at the DuPage show with a table and the usual stuff he's carted around before. He had decal sheets available also and the usual parts box to pick through. He had 1 59 Rambler, unsealed, for $35, a couple of Turbine cars and a few other of the 50's cars but I didn't get around to asking any questions as there was someone going through the parts box and I didn't want to interrupt a sale
  4. My "haul" from the DuPage Toy Show today
  5. Our club's submission didn't make the list. Not rushing to buy
  6. Have had great success with them thus far
  7. I till have one somewhere in a tool box, but as Bill said, it is a crude tool. There are a lot more razor saw options that are more useful although requiring a little more exertion.
  8. Nice show. Sorry we didn't get a chance to get up there while we're out west house hunting in the Vancouver WA area.
  9. I'll get that chassis out to you when I get back. Thanks for the leeway
  10. I think that would look great. Waiting to order the International version. Have you figured out how to address the front door/fender "creases"?
  11. Back when Gerry Chevalier was doing the Cheetah in his Mini Exotics line (long before he sold it to R and D Unique), he suggested using the AMT Mercedes 300SL Gullwing kit as the "donor" and the AMT 63 Vette for the FI engine. After I bought my HRM version, I gave my kit to Bill Lastovitch (of Revell) and he had a 300SL to combine. Sadly, he died before he took it on and these went away in the estate sale. I have heard of some folks doing the whole thing with AMT's 63 Vette but have never seen a WIP or finished product.
  12. Maybe this would be a better option and clobber the family... http://info.legalzoom.com/end-obligations-being-executor-will-20474.html
  13. Looks like I have a complete chassis for the 56 Del Ray, including suspension and, possibly exhaust. It is yours if you want it.
  14. I may have a spare chassis in the basement stash in a parts kit. If yes, it is yours. It may be for a 56 sedan. I will look and let you know.
  15. Have you looked at Pegasus Hobbies? Also, Hobby Design sells different tire sets.
  16. All I've seen is the tubbed or mini-tubbed chasses and for the newer Revell releases. Have you looked into whether a newer Revell chassis could be adapted?
  17. Some may like the offerings, but to me
  18. Better yet, follow this link and you even see the instructions... http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10384122
  19. Huracan has regular doors, unlike Aventador.
  20. If this is what is being looked for, Replicas and Miniatures Maryland did them. Need to check with Norm if still in catalog.
  21. Car show in Naperville Illinois that we went down to from the Geneva Concours. It was much smaller than expected. The promoter’s Northern Suburban events were much bigger. Anyway, took some photos of the cars there. Flickr Event Album...
  22. Beautiful day and a great show. Some rare cars as always and the club "corrals" always have some interesting vehicles. Link to Flickr Album of event...
  23. What did it win? It appears it won its class, not overall. The 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance winner was a 1936 Lancia Asturia Pinin Farina cabriolet.
  24. Looking good. I see you have the electrical connectors, fire suppression and electrical boxes to help detail out. Great choice on the brake system
