  1. Kevin Kaucher, cast by Ron Andrews at Race motor Replicas....well done, pretty good kit....'Z'
  2. This is one of those kits I always wanted to build, but never got around to.....GREAT job, and thanks for the memories....'Z'
  3. I provided a set of tires and a set of scratchbuilt rally wheel caps for them to replicate. Last time they were at NNL east, they told me they were done, but forgot to bring them....numerous polite emails later....nothing, and no reply....'Z'
  4. I have been waiting for my tires and rally caps from ARROWHEAD for over six years.
  5. I sub'scribe' to the scribe it deeper technique, myself....'Z'
  6. Gets MY vote, BIG TIME....would by a case!...FWIW, I have NEVER bought a case of the same kit in my life....'Z'
  7. While this kit may have its pro's and cons, I cannot BELIEVE the negativity from you fellas and you haven't even SEEN the kit yet ! I'm beginning to think that model car people are the most negative group of people on the PLANET !For my part, I just want to give kudos to REVELL for giving us a model like this, whether you want to build it 'outta da box' or you're going to buy it for parts....And LAY OFF THE HAIR !....Go to a model show / swap meet, us model car guys hain't got a THING on the rest of the world when it comes to hair styles ( or lack thereof....) 'Z'
  8. This frame, due to the parallel and straight frame rails, is adaptable to just about anything. You can lengthen or shorten it forward of the rear axle to achieve any wheelbase you need....'Z'
  9. WOW !...I was reading this and as I scrolled down, I thought 'ok, ok, ok; then I got hit with the wood pics and "WHAM"....great job !
  10. Race Motor Replicas has sme 67/72 Chevy GMC truck grilles, I believe.
  11. Clear will fog up in humidity too....be forewarned......'Z'
  12. It's about TIME, Mister Brown !....welcome back ....the'Z'man
  13. Yes, I caught that after I posted....'Z'
  14. Patrick, you live in Meadville. High Humidity is the NORM here- Go to Home Depot and buy one of those temperature/ humidity gages (about 12 bucks)....Learn to check it all the time, until its a habit. It's currently 78 degrees with a 38% humidity factor right now, on my back deck just a half mile north of you....You can shoot duplicolor anywhere up to about 60% humidity....'Z'
  15. I seem to recall a 66 or 67 SCHOOL BUS yellow pro street Olds in the car magazines a while back......got MY attention....'Z'
  16. While I like Pro street, and understand your point - - - the car mags show what's popular, and what sells magazines, the same as MCM. Like it or not, Pro Touring is what's popular, at the moment.(Actually, for about the last 10 years)Years ago, when Pro Street was the trend, people said the same thing ! The same could be said for the mags that feature 'old school, rat rods, low riders, etc...If they did not cater to a majority of their readers they would not be around long.....'Z'
  17. 'Back in the day'....L60 - 15 were always considered to be 275/60 15's when they changed over to the new sizes... H60 became 255/60,.G 60 became 245/60, F 60's were 235/60...N 50 were 295 50's.....'Z'
  18. I buy 2 or 3 bodies from Jimmy every time I see him. His quality is good, his prices are very reasonable, and his offerings cover a wide spectrum of topics....'Z'
  19. Actually, with the advances in automotive technology and in the developement of more advanced batteries, you CAN go farther on a charge then you could in the first electric vehicles....
  20. The smaller Pegasus tires fit those rims without modification; they also drop in many of the Maisto Viper, Mustang, and 'Vette tires. There are others they fit, but I cannot remember which....'Z'
  21. That is my build, and the wheels are not from Scale dreams. The original wheel chame from an ARII 'vette, were modified and cast , and then chromed by Chrometech, and then painted. The trim rings are from M.A.S. but have also been modified, then polished. The model is a much modified AMT 50 something Chevrolet pick up truck mastered by me, and cast by Race Motor Replicas.....Steven Zimmerman aka the'Z'man
  22. Well, there goes the freakin Model Car budget.
  23. I agree ...Someone expended a tremendous amount of skill to make a butt ugly car. i don't care what the story is, if you have to explain it, then it doesn't work. from ANY angle. Only thing I like is the paint on the car and the wheels....the colors compliment each other....
  24. I have done this chop and in my case, I found it was easier to modify an AMT 55 Chevy windshield to fit from the inside of the cab.
