  3. Hasagawa has a '67 type 2 van in addition to the 23 window & pickup. you may end up cutting your own windows or filling in the Samba. (assumed you wanted 1/24 -25 scale)
  4. shopped or not ... when you look at someone's picture, first cover the eyes and study the lower half, then the mouth and study the eyes. than tell me he didn't get away with murder.
  5. we do take our hobby seriously
  6. share how you get them centered? never was able to get 2 to look the same.
  7. stick with it; looking great. I think the '40 sedan was one of my first kits about '62. the '34 is the next in logical progression; loved the tools & cinder blocks!

  12. let's get those Dales to write model companies for a 1927 Ford 3 in 1 kit to be produced!
  13. modeling is not about buying things, it's about making them.
  14. oh brother. and I just wanted another Double Dragster for parts.
  15. but are we overlooking the reason people build models - or in a broader sense - develop their hobbies? does every part need to be the quintessential icon it is meant to represent? can't a hobby just be a couple of hours away from the headaches of daily life without phones and people butting into your "me" time? sometimes I just want to have a steak, but that doesn't mean I need to know all the parts of the cow.
  16. will the blade be photo etched? I can only buy one if there's a photo etched blade....
  17. tweezers (affordable, not rocket surgeon quality) are like most tools: they need to be tuned. I go over the ends with 320 grit wet/ dry sandpaper until the tips meet uniformly. then fold over a piece, squeeze it with the tweezers, and surface the inside of the tips to meet evenly. "it's a poor workman that blames his tools"
  18. I think if the manufacturer put enough of the "right parts" along in the kit it would be bought by a broader audience just for "swapability". some decent wheels, popular detailed engine, bonus go-kart or mini-bike. you know; some Hook!
  19. Political Correctness has stifling consequences
  20. "Supersize Me" it's on netflix
  21. got to Youtube and search "Ted's Modeling Technique" and then "ignition wiring for a top fuel or funny car engine with pro tech parts" sorry; website won't allow me to cut & paste the url. fellow is very informative and articulate!
