Sorry, but somebody had to do it. I don't mind the one word posts, I am a member of a lot of forums and this one is the best run forum of them all. The texting in posts drives me crazy.

1/5/2013 last day for the 40% off coupon
2000-cvpi replied to Gramps2u's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm pretty sure that you can, I have asked the cashier to use the 40% coupon in place of the sale discount and they have. I even called the store and asked the manager if I could do that before I made the trip. -

I almost thought that Hobby Lobby was ending the 40% of coupon. That wouldn't be a good way to start out a new year. -
Well looking at that model makes me think that I spent my year building poorly. It is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic work.

Great builds, great video. I looked like this when I read that you finished sixty kits.

My 2012 finished models, the year of the metal axles.
2000-cvpi replied to 2000-cvpi's topic in Model Cars
More. 1964 Mercury Comet. Lindberg Ford Crown Victoria, quick build. Rebuild of a AMT Chevrolet Nova with extra parts. AMT 1966 Ford Fairlane with a scratchbuilt trailer. I have a few more that I hope I can finish before the end of the year. -
This year I actually built some models and finished more that I started. For some resin I only built kits that were older, with the metal axles though the engine blocks. It didn't start out that way, after the first few, I thought that it would be fun to try and build just metal axles kits for the year. Some were quick, weekend builds, others I spent more time with the kit. Johan 1970 Oldsmobile. AMT 1976 Chevrolet Caprice AMT 1962 Buick 225 &1963 Chevrolet Impala, these were weekend builds. This is my Christmas presents. I finally found a hobby shop that carried the Detailier black wash, so I got an extra bottle.

Are We Model Hoarders?
2000-cvpi replied to mrmike's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's been almost two years since I wrote the above post. For a few months after this thread ended, I started down the road to uncontrolled model buying. My stash went from 250 unbuilt kits to over six hundred in less than a year. I got them from flea markets, neighbors, garage sales, Craigslist, my lhs. It got out of hand very quickly since I wasn't picky at all. If it was reasonable, I bought it. I realized that I was getting out of control with buying models. I sold off just over half of my collection, almost all of my built ups and kept what I really want. I can only hope that I have enough time to build them all. -
Could you pretty please take a picture of the 1972 Fords? I have wanted to get one, but I would like to see what they look like.

Wow, you seem to have great results with a Craigslist ad. I may have to try that here.

I would also. I hope that they bring out something from the 1930's like a Duesenberg.

They sell cars for less than five grand? At least that's what my price range could be. -

What website has these on pre order? I can't seem to find it listed in any of my usual sites.
