  1. I was at my local HTU today and they we confused about the new 57 Ford police car kit. They didn't seem to interested in finding out if they could get one, which would have been a sale. On another note they had several of the exact same kits that hobby lobby carries for the price for one as two of the hobby lobby kits with the coupon. The 57Fireball Roberts kit was 33.99, I could get two at hobby lobby for that price. It's one of the reasons that I by more kits at hobby lobby than at the lhs. Even though I would like to support them, I can't justify that kind of spending.
  2. It is at the local ones here.
  3. I was at my local Hobby Lobby today and part of the reset was the 57 Fireball Roberts car. It was 23.99, so with the 40% off coupon the cost is less than fifteen bucks with tax. Just a heads up.
  4. I used the 40% coupon on this. I went to Hobby Lobby today and they finally had kits on clearance.
  5. I went today and bought seven kits that they are clearancing out. They were restocking with with the 57Fireball Robert's car, the Revell 62 Corvette, etc.
  6. Car modelers are the group that is the most hesitant to change. Any change, no matter how small and the sky is falling. I've never seen anything like it.
  7. I go there probably five to six times a month. They just opened a second one here in Kalamazoo.
  8. I bought a built up Valiant at a thrift store for a buck. Not a bad deal.
  9. I don't know what a fond is, but using text slang is no excuse. I'm only four years older than you and I post almost exclusively on my phone. I wouldn't dream of coming across like the quote above.
  10. I kinda made that conclusion also, but I didn't know if there was a date set for release. I hope that Hobby Lobby carries it, I would be interested in a couple with the 40% discount. The Shelby has been a fixture set my local HL, the last one gathered a lot of dust.
  11. Wow, an educated statement from what must be a world traveler with years of life experience. Or a tween that hasn't even earned his driver's permit, I'm not sure.
  12. So I guess the kits out? I wonder if Hobby Lobby will carry this kit, since they carry the other Foose kits.
  13. There's no way I could fit into a mini dune buggy. I would take a ten pack of 1971 MPC kits though.
  14. Only 6.50 for a kit on clearance at HL? Around here the best the kits on clearance get is 40% off. They don't get marked down anymore than that. I think the tool box will work well for things like files, exacto knives, etc.
  15. The most I have ever spent on one single kit was 110.00 and I thought about it for a while before I bought it. The most I spent at one time was 450.00 but it was for 11 unbuilt Johan kits.
  16. I stopped at a garage sale and bought a wood tool box for some of my model tools. I think it is a good deal for 20.00. It kinda looks like a Harbor Freight version, but I can't tell for sure.
  17. It's the Mohs motor car. I have his book about his fifty plus years in the car business. The car is not that ugly, it was really safe for the time.
  18. That's crazy, the Hobby Lobby here got the Phantom van just before Christmas. The clearance here takes almost a year for a kit to hit the clearance shelves. I'd pick up another one just to have a spare for nine bucks.
  19. The Hobby Lobby here in Kalamazoo reset some of the stock, so for the post few days I've used the 40% coupon for times. The Monogram 56 Bel Air was on clearance today for nine bucks.
  20. I stopped at the local hobby shop on day and they were selling this paint rack. At the time my paints were in a old tool box and some cardboard boxes. So I bought it and I have out grew it since then.
  21. I bought these off craigslist today. All five are inbuilt, three are sealed.
  22. I picked these up over the last two days.
  23. The bottom line is that they are asking way to much for the kits. Unless the seller find a sucker, they are going to have to lower the price or just keep them
