Looks good TJ! I know what you mean about this kit. I did mine stock in silver with black stripes. I remember struggling with a number of fit issues. From what I recall, getting the body on was a pain.

Always love seeing your builds Wayne! The paint/graphics and details are next level (as always).

Really cool concept and great job on the paint!

AMT DOUBLE DRAGSTER SET! Twin Blown Rail AND Injected Fiat Altered.

Great job refreshing both of these Dennis! They both look like new builds after your upgrades. I love this kit because of all of the options. -
Awesome job Jason, looks great! Really like the products from Speed City Resin. Just used some parts from them on my 65 Dodge AWB.

Thanks to everyone that I talked to at the HMCA show on the 7th! I have been out of town for work all week, so late to post. I had a lot of people say they saw the build on here. Appreciate all the feedback. Meeting so many great people and doing well in the contest made all of the work that went into it worth the effort.

Paint looks great Roger! What purple did you use?

65 Altered Wheelbase Dodge - Sneak Peek

Love the AWB Mopar's. That's quick work since that kit just came out recently. Great start to these! -
Great looking version of this kit! Super clean build and the yellow/black paint is awesome.

Yeah, the chassis on these can be a pain. I love the early 90's Olds pro stocks. Looking forward to seeing this.

Hi Roger, good to see you back at it! I've had similar problems with the Tamiya white before. Ran into it on my Grumpys Vega. I still use Tamiya spray primers (white, gray, pink) but now use MCW enamels for most of my builds. Not as convienient, but having nice results.

I know STS is extremely busy right now. It took a couple of months to get my decals for the Gold Rush Dodge. The wait was worth it though, they are really nice quality.

Really nice build. The vinyl top really looks great with the yellow. Small things like painting the filler panel really make a big impact. Great job!

Yep, it's one of many 1/16 Funny Cars produced by Milestone with fiberglass bodies. These were expensive when they came out and are very expensive on the aftermarket now (some $300+). $5 is an insane deal! I have the Scotty Cannon Oakley Firebird. They also produced 1/16 top fuelers.

Super cool project Scott! You know I love the AWB Mopar's.

Awesome looking Mopar! Love the tire/wheels and great job on the stance.

Glad to hear you got moved in Roger. Model room is coming together nicely! Looking forward to see you get back on the BTK build. I'll send you pics from the HMCA show in Sept.

Thanks everyone! When I started it, I was hoping it would be a decent representation of the actual car and I am really pleased with the final result. Just saw today that Moebius will be releasing this at the end of the month. This will be much easier than my build, LOL!

I love seeing your craftsmanship and attention to detail. It truely is a work of art. The carb screen looks so good and the entire powertrain/suspension is outstanding.

I'm in the same boat with you Michael on the Revell Chrome. I resisted buying it for a long time, but was not always happy with the other chrome paint options, so I picked up a can. Like you, I was very impressed with the coverage and appearance. Your wheels look great. Because of how easily it covers, it might not be that bad of a buy after all. I have noticed that like other chrome paints, you have to be careful when handling it.

Awesome work Michael and I really appreciate your in-depth review of the kit! I will be buying one soon. Also like the idea of the smoke sprayed over the silver leaf, looks great.

Very cool, gotta love Willys gassers!

Thanks Will, appreciate all of your comments as I was building this too!.

Thanks Scott! The moon tank is an aluminum part from Mr. Model (out of Brazil).
