  1. Thanks for commenting Tom, very much appreciated. Thank you Rodney, doing the best I can with the skills I have.
  2. Nice work with all the body mods, looks way better all smoothed out.
  3. Looks great Roger, I like the custom work and the blue and chrome.
  4. Yeah another vote for the Advans, as they are like the wheels on the inspiration car.
  5. Very impressive Guy, few layers of clear to bring out the shine and it will certainly bling in direct sunlight. Well done.
  6. It a trans kit for Hasegawa Nissan Sunny made by C1 Models.
  7. Of to a good start. That paint is going to come to life once the clear is applied.
  8. LOL! Shock absorbers.
  9. Applied another coat of 1000 primer instead of 1500 black, next up will apply TS-29 Semi black. And got the suspension components painted TS-29 and TS-49 Bright Red, have to get red in there some where.
  10. Applied 1500 black to some parts of a build that stalled for a bit, hoping this will get things moving again. The parts. The build
  11. Yeah need to consider some wider treads on the rear for sure, have to look whats in the stash. Thanks Thank you Jim appreciate you looking and leaving a comment.
  12. Nothing serious, just messed around with this for my own amusement. Old kids toy from the past. Wheels from the spare's. After a few mods, sitting about right. Slambulance, that will be a paint test piece. Going to paint in the same style and colours as a South Australian ambulance
  13. Re-stock of surfacer. And got some of this to try on small components A set of Infini matador's and zebra's. Styrene. And been wanting this kit for ages, but never been in stock, finally got lucky and managed to get one.
  14. Tidy looking ute, well done.
  15. Good idea following the suggestions of opening up the grille, will look heaps better with the mesh. Unfortunate the hobby shop was closed, at least it will give you time to suss out ideas and prepare for when you get the supplies needed to get the build progressing again. Lip kit will be the go for sure, as it will make it look as though it sitting lower.
  16. After doing some prep work on the body, decided to get the over fenders attached. Now the track can be finalized. After that removed some of the stock wheel arches using a sanding drum, this gave clearance for the wheels. Before. After. Couldnt resist to apply some 1500 black to see how it looks and do a mock of course. Bit patchy as it was just very light quick coat. Going to need to thin the over fenders a small amount to get the wheels flush.
  17. Could you possibly apply the decals first and seal them with the clear, then apply the Bmf after and work it up to the edge of the decal. Just thinking out aloud and probably wrong, but thought it might be worth suggesting.
  18. Great job on the roof patterns Guy, going to look sweet under a layer of candy.
  19. Thank you Anton. Not much of an update, just showing still working on it. Applied some primer to check for flaws and give it a light fill. Once thats sorted, black surfacer will be applied.
  20. Looking forward to seeing the result after the tape work.
  21. The amount detail work and how clean everything is assembled is showcase of some serious skills. Amazing build on so many levels that you should be very proud of the end result.
  22. Can see you have put a lot of effort into trying to achieve your vision. As others have said very impressive. Like this pic below setting the scene of a wip with all the tools around the engine. Cool Wheels suit it very wheel, but maybe look at a lower profile tyres. Also another option would be to have a look around on the interweb for some Aoshima wheels. The SSR Professor Sp-1 19 inch would be very close to the 1:1 wheels. But they come with cambered tyres, so you would have to get another set with standard low profiles and swap over maybe. Any way just some suggestions, in the end go with what you like and what makes you happy Anton.
  23. Like the style of this one Roger. Super clean, smooth and crisp.
  24. Nothing like a bit of colour to bring a build to life, maybe try a clear red overcoat help darken it a bit.
  25. Not much detailed info of the process in this update, just roughed in for now to share a few pics to show the overall look of the set up. Might to need get some paint on a few things, as to not get over whelmed later trying to do it all at once after the build process is over.
