Amazing dedication to produce what you did, and the end result is a super impressive replica of a family car. Trailer is spot on. Well done mate.

Good place to get pro-touring fender flares?
Cool Hand replied to brodie_83's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Aoshima , Fujimi and a few other manufacturers produce over fender sets. Maybe look into some of them as it could be possible to adapt/modify them suit to your build. Just punch in 1/24 over fender set into a search engine and go from there. -
Looking the part so far mate. Interested to see the next update on how you did the interior. Ive been on a bit of a Nissan binge lately, such cool cars and some super nice kits out there.

Thanks for the update. Hobby is alive and doing very well, other manufacturers understand whats up.

50' Chevy COE.. with a boat
Cool Hand replied to DeeCee's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Wow, you knocked this combo out of the park. That boat is nuts. As always killa paint and excellent craftsmanship, well done mate. -
Having only recently got into stanced cars in scale, I will be another to follow this build with great interest. Great detail work so far, look forward to watching the progression. USCP wheels get my vote.

Look forward too seeing your interpretation of WildCad, mainly cause it was built in Australia.

Revell chopper
Cool Hand replied to zaina's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Sweet! Like the colour combo. The extra details and work you have done bring up the realism for sure. Great work so far I will keep an eye out for when its complete. -
Excellent paint job Pete. Good job on the undercarriage detail. Im starting to enjoy seeing people build the somewhat oddball Aoshima kits. And its always good too see something different.

Revell Volkswagen Rabbit - Clearly Scale Engine
Cool Hand replied to Erik Smith's topic in Model Cars
Wow, super clean and crisp build Erik. Great job on all the detail work. In the right setting this would pass for a 1:1 for sure. -
As many have already mentioned and il be another to say it again, very clean build mate well done. The colours, wheels and the style you chose to build it, suit that year Vette very well imo.

Hope this answers your question Bill. I had answered the same question in an old under glass build, but rather than link il just show it here. To achieve the water shots, I use this location in my back yard. It has changed a bit since pics below were taken, a new tank base also provided a new background as seen in pics above of the Skyline. Basically just hose down the entire area and find a spot were a shallow puddle has formed, place model car and camera down and move both around until you find that perfect shot that gives a full reflection of the car. The undercarriage can and will get wet. So if thats an issue, I dont recommend trying to get reflective water shots. The car and camera set up in position. Pic from above after taken and cropped.

Appreciate all the reply's and comments. Thankyou very much. I do have a pic that shows how I achieve the water shots, just having trouble finding at the moment. When I do il post it up. Thanks, personally I think these are great kits and are fun to build. A mate said they remind him of the old AMT and Revell 2n1 and 3n1 because of all the optional parts. Im starting to become big fan of Aoshima kits.

Hear Hear. Il back those words, Shawn has made all us Aussie's proud And yeah "What would Shawn do?"

It has been a long time between builds, and this one shows that as its a little rough around the edges. It was a fun build of something different to the subjects I usually choose. Built from this kit oob, but I built it my way. Paint on the body is Tamiya TS-9 British Green,

Has been an amazing journey watching you scratch build near on every piece/component. A high level of skill and craftsmanship was showcased during the entire build process and the end results in the above photo's truly justify your dedication and hard work replicating the 1:1. Well done Shawn brilliant work mate. Tried by many but you succeeded and made it to completion, be proud that is a master piece.
