Thanks Hakan
Thanks Brian, I’m glad to have this project finished after the years of planning for it.
Helmot thanks, it’s 5’ of self space and about 4 months building time to.
Thanks Jaume, just 72 wheels on the transporters plus 10 on the Mack.
Thanks Carl.
Thanks JT it’s keeping me on my toes. I’m having to really study these instructions.
Thanks Jeff, definitely no molded in mufflers with 7 pieces to make up the exhaust system on this one.
Curtis if you like lots of details this is a great kit to build.
Thanks JT
I’ve been working on the suspension. With the springs being fixable it’s been fun getting all the different parts to line up and have the axle square and level. Here’s where I’m at on the rear axle still have more parts to install on it then I will work on the front axle. This is the most detailed suspension that I’ve ever done. Here’s the pictures.
Brian nice progress on this build. Best of luck with getting your paint to stay on. Let us know what you find that works. I’ve had the same problem before.
Carl another check to do is see if the frame fits in the 2 slots in the bed. I was using the rear bumper to check the frame fit but it also fits tight in the bed and I had to make some adjustments to get mine to fit.
Carl nice progress looking good with the paint on. You may want to check the last 2 frame members they look to be back wards. I had to change mine when I was test fitting the tail pipe. If the second member is not turned up the exhaust pipe hits it. Did A&N say how long it will take to get the new parts for you?
After going over and checking everything there was something missing in the kit and I figured it out the spare tire is missing. I’m going to have to get some more tires now. I’m going to use a rim from the 70 roadrunner it looks really close to the one I see used on the RAM. I’ve also installed the belts on the engine. Here’s what I have so far.
Thanks Dan seeing you asked I’m looking for some engine compartment pictures. It looks like I could add some more tubing and some wires under the hood.
Dan could you tell any difference in the new truck?
Francis your welcome.
Jonathan you will like them
There’s a note on the Scenes Unlimited site that they will be taking a break in mid November but will be back taking new orders after the holiday. I received mine in a weeks time and yes they have lots to choose from.
