  1. Thanks Jeff and Steve on confirming no problems with using real window tint. So far my test piece still looks clear. The kit comes with pre cut clear plastic that needs trimmed up to fit but the sides and back windows are all flat so this will be pretty easy to apply.
  2. That’s going to make a nice load. Looks like the cable car has a lot of details.
  3. Michael I see on the KFS site that they have discontinued making the modular trailer. They only have 8 of the Low Decks left.
  4. Nice progress Michael. Have you decided on what you will use for your trailer and load.
  5. Brian I just made sure that when we had our home built I got a model building room with lots of shelves.
  6. Tom I’m really glad to see you back working on this truck crane. Your frame is coming along nicely.
  7. Sam clean it up a little and add some weathering.
  8. Jeff you have done a awesome job scratch building your framing and detailing the flange. All the bolts and weld seams really add up to make look like the real deal! Glad to hear that you and your wife are doing better now.
  9. Very nice clean build Roger and just remember every vehicle starts out new.
  10. The 1:1 RAM comes with tinted windows and the kit has clear plastic windows so I decided to try something new and different to tint the windows. I’m testing some window tint that is sold for real windows. So far on my test it’s looking good I’m going to wait a couple days to see if it’s still good when the glue is completely dry. If it stays like it is now I’m going to use it. I don’t have a plan B yet so I’m hoping this works. Here’s my test piece.
  11. The Jimmy is what my 1:1 looked like when I had it back in 1979 - 1982. It was a fun truck back then. Thanks for your comment.
  12. Francis I washed the parts in Dawn dishwashing soap and luck warm water. I used Tamiya surface primer then Scale Finishes Dodge PW7 Bright White with 500 clear coat.
  13. Thanks Francis. I just did the normal preparation before painting.
  14. Joel fantastic painting and your trim on the sides makes it really pop. I did the same trim on my 74 Jimmy about 7 years ago. Looking forward to seeing you finish your build.
  15. I was able to get the white paint on today.
  16. Glad you were able to catch the frame difference before you were further along. You’re doing some awesome scratch building here.
  17. Thanks Jeff. Some test fitting before I spray on the white paint.
  18. Awesome set of Cuda’s JR.
  19. Dan when you take into account all the detail parts and PE parts included in the kit the price is right on. Thanks Joe. More progress on the interior now have the seat belts finished. The door panels and posts are attached to the body so they will be attached after I’ve painted it.
  20. Joe have you tried to start your engine! It looks awesome with great detail.
  21. Nice scratch building progress Dave. I’ve got one of those cutters and I agree with you they are a must have for scratch building.
  22. Here’s my entry for this year’s BRBO 2021.
  23. Seat belts are in place still have to make the buckles.
  24. Tonight’s progress updates I chromed the RAM letters in the front grill, added some more colors to the door panels and started working on the seat belts. I’m going to have be fresh to get the seat belt material through the PE clips. I also attached the skid plates on the frame.
