Love that stance ! Man , that car looks GREAT in gold & black !
-
Gorgeous Tortie and Calicos ! How old are they ? How long have you had those super girls ?
-
That's supposed to be a 335-Series engine ( 351-C , 351-M , 400 ) ? Looks like the FE from the F-350 Camper Special Pickup to me .
-
Huge improvements to that engine ! You even painted the separate bellhousing , too ! ( the C4 / 4 cylinder bellhousing is a rare and highly sought after piece ) . Those sidedraught Webers look perfect ! Nice addition to the captain's side , oi . Those separate pedals are a nice touch !

Thanks much to Dave , et al. , for reworking the roof for the finalised release . No small undertaking !
-
I feel that once you paint the vinyl top , the minor spacing of the stripes will disappear . Certainly , the presence of the (necessary) masking tape on the roof sends the eyes in different directions . Keep on keepin' on !

Spot-on . Best of both worlds , indeed . -

Precisely . They only kind of understand the on-paper theory ; they have zero practical , real-world understanding of applied-theory . The element of virtue signalling is beyond obnoxious . If anything , it causes rational-thinking folks to recoil in flabbergast at the level of asinine assertions . -
That is awesome ! Some breeds of cats are known for that . Sometimes my "bratty barn cat" will play fetch ; he did more so when he was a kitten .

Those whom wield power at least . I hold zero pull , but I try to think of all possible angles (not possible to think of every angle) : just because an edict doesn't affect me , doesn't mean that it won't cause sufferance by others . -

Another very real consideration to peruse regarding the viability ( or , lack thereof ) of a nation of strictly E.V.s suspends one's limited purview : How well -- if at all-- will electric vehicles perform and survive in rural / desolate regions ? Indicting myself in the following statement ; many of us view the entire E.V. proposal ( compulsory edict ? ) purely -- primarily-- through the spectacles of city dwellers . What may seem merely benign is truly malignant to what has got to be the majority of the nation : Midwest , Plains , etc. ; Alaska and Hawaii as well . Simply put : Impractical . E.V.s would be fine in urban / suburban reaches -- but an outright burden for those whom reside in the aforementioned regions . -

My contention exactly . Electric may be ( well, has exhibited as being ) quicker --and maybe faster-- than an ICE-equivalent , but it does not replicate the raw , animalistic sound , feel , and presence of 'dinosaur' fuelled engine . Period . Full-stop . This does not mean that I'm hating on E.V.s , it just means that I feel that there's room for both in our world . No need to de facto phase-out ICEs , nor jeopardise classic vehicles thereof . -
Pro Stock hasn't been truly 'stock' in a very long time . One can --and many have-- argue that Grumpy Jenkins' 1972 and 1974 Vega's were the first to take the whole 'stock' thing and contort and distort its definition insofar as NHRA is concerned . Personally , I don't agree with those arguments . Not sure as to why NHRA decided to name this "new" class A / Factory Experimental . It excludes so much ! Why not some additional classes ? How about , say , B/FX or C/FX ? Some V6-powered vehicles would be cool ! Turbo 4 and 6 cylinders , too ! Also , why limit the transmission to a 5-speed manual ? Would a manually-shifted automatic count ?

The AMT TH-400 is a nice replica . My only complaint about it is that the oil pan is moulded-in , and is split with the trans' case . I'm sure that you could modify the poop out of it if need be , Steve . I second the M.A.D. TH-400 . I have a few in my stash for conversions of a few of the Revell 396-427-454 engines . -

Is the transmission crossmember / brace different between the Pontiac and the Chevrolet G-bodies ? You're definitely on to something with your proposed mods ( not that I've ever questioned your works ) . It would seem to appear that the cowls ostensibly line-up between the kits ( just as likely , on the 1:1 examples as well ) . -
I was being facetious ( haha ) . I could just imagine strolling-into a Halford's on a lazy Sunday afternoon , and hearing One For The Road emanating from the store's P.A.
-
Is Rob Halford the heir-apparent to the Halford's fortune ? I'm loving your '68 Charger ( one of thee best automotive designs in history ) . I , too , have a '69 Charger body staged for use when I get around to building my copy of the '68 . It's easier to fill-and-backdate the side marques than it is to add vinyl top trim to that 'Flying Buttress' backlight area and the C-pillars .

I've long been under the impression that the 1970-1972 Monte Carlo ( G-Body ) was based on the A-Body platform , with the Chevelle inner wheel wells being the exact same as the Monte's . I'm fairly certain that the 1969 Grand Prix was the first downsized G-body , with the the-new 'Carlo following for 1970 -- perhaps the Revell 1968-1969 Chevelle could work as well ? What plans do you have engine and transmission-wise ? Differential ? IIRC , the Pontiacs axle housing widths were Wide Track ; that the Chevrolet 12 Bolt would be incorrect (?) . I know , I'm putting the cart before the horse . -
