A is an interesting letter of the alphabet, especially when it's combined with a ligature of Æ or æ to modify its phonetic pronunciation

Considering that the Satellite and the GTX share virtually all of the trim and upholstery between them, your work's cut out on this conversion. Question about the 'Duel' tank trailer
1972coronet replied to robdebie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
FWIW, there were two different tractor-trailers used in Duel: 1.) First T/T was used in the footage of the 1971 Movie of the Week 2.) Replacement T/T was used in the additional footage for the 1972 theatrical release Being more of a car geek, I'd only noticed the different Valiants used (one 1970, one 1971, and one 1972; all in red, and all with 1971-only wheel covers). Apparently, there were two different tankers used in addition to two different models of Peterbilt's (see image) Are you planning to build the Valiant as well? models (see image). -

"Good... very, very good.", was my verbal reaction the first time I'd heard White Light/ White Heat in 1985, while smoking a Marlboro Red

Nice WM23V0 there! The B5 appears to be the GB5 (1971-1973) as opposed to EB5 (1969-1970) -- maybe the lighting? Regardless, it's one of me favourite blue metallics, next to EB7/GB7.

Quite nifty! I've always loved the Duster, Demon, and Dart Sport; and FM3 Panther Pink (Dodge) Moulin Rouge (Plymouth) is one of my favourite colours. It would appear that the 1:1 that you're replicating has 1972 front fenders on it ("universal" side marker lamp), but has the 1970-1971 side marker on the rear. That 225 looks AWESOME!

Certainly I'm not alone in stating/thinking this: your build-reviews are the BEST. I would hope that you could post a link to your Fotoki [sp] page, and have the admins here turn-off comments here. I attempt to adhere to the say something constructive or nice, or keep it to yourself credo. Should I fail that I would hope that someone would mention my offence so that I may delete it or offer an apology.

Great doner for most of the conversion-to-stock, though the door cards and upholstery are correct only for a 1971 Duster. The Duster's engine is mostly correct (for super correct appearance, the carburetor would have to be changed to a Carter AVS [Fireball] and the right-side manifold would have to be scratch built [1971-1973 A-Body 340 had a different manifold for whatever reason]; the air cleaner is correct for a manual trans only). IMO, the Revell 1968-1969 Dart GTS would be a better starting point. Still, the interior is a roadblock (if accuracy is important), and the engine and its compartment are different for 1970 & later (no factory big block A-bodies after 1969 model year; radiator tank changed after 1969, too). I haven't attempted this yet, but maybe the front and rear clips from the Hemi Hunter et al. could be swapped-onto the Revell '68 Dart Hemi, in order to make an A/MP "1970" Dart.

Girls who Look like Boys who Look like Girls was a common phrase regarding the 1960's Mod fashion, particularly in reference to the Kings Road and Carnaby Street shoppers

More is from 1969. It's a fun one, albeit 'artsy'; very European. It's one of my favourite films.

I remember building the Hemi Hunter some 40 years ago, and then as is now, I wish that a stock 1970 Dart Swinger was available. It would take entirely too much work - at least for my skill level - to whittle a stock Dart from the Hunter et al., none the least of which would be DLO trim, and a trunk lid. I have the c.2007 issue of the Racing Chumps version. I bought it in 2007 with the idea of bashing it with the Revell 1968/1969 Dart GTS, but...

1.) Doubtful that you - or anyone else - would be privy to a "new and improved" version, especially within two months. I would hope that Moebius - should they find fit to rectify the production problems - would change the part number (maybe a "-2" suffix) and maybe expand their kits' boxes' sizes as to not s-it shove 10 lbs. of product into a 5 lbs. container. 2.) Apparently, all of their 1967-1972 F-Series truck kits suffer from warped hoods (maybe other components as well). I only have the Model King edition of the 1969 F-100 short bed. I've had it since its first issue +/- 10 years ago but haven't fully examined its contents. I have one of the 1965 Chevy II Gasser kits. Other than checking its contents, I haven't touched it -- not out of disinterest; I just haven't moved it up in my queue. Other than its roof/C-pillar goof (not that important to me, especially since it's not representative of a factory stock offering), my only minor "complaint" is its kind-of-sixties, kind-of-contemporary mix of parts: like, disc brakes and electric fans don't cut it for a c.1965 race car/ street freak. But, I can source a correct 1966 & earlier brake master cylinder from the parts box, and leave off the electric fan, and make a period-correct model out of it.

There are options for re-"plating" the headlamp buckets (or any other brightwork for this matter). There's a chrome pen (as in ink) called Molotow which is amazing stuff. Some scoff at it, others swear by it; I use it on certain parts. Barring that, Bare Metal Foil could be employed, though this may be tedious depending upon your skills, vision, and hand steadiness.
