I like the 'constipated cheetah' front facia that the newer crop of "out-of-the-box" designers are employing these days: -

The rendition of the terlit resembles the robot from Rocky IV. -
I agree completely. This Supra was leaps & bounds above any of their offerings at that time! IMO, it ranks darned close to Tamiya or Hasegawa -- the too dark 'glass' and the BFG's its only weak points.

I came -this- close to pulling the trigger on the Celica (moulded in red) MPC kit earlier this year. I'm glad that I didn't, for two reasons: 1.) The listing was 'sketchy' (few photos, little in the way of description) 2.) The mentioning of this iteration (the blue Supra) of the kit came down ex cathedra (e.g., Tim Boyd)

Such a lovely mum! Three tykes to care for -- even a 'mini me' for mum.

Are we in high school all of a sudden? Just a phrase of caution for a new member, who knows nothing about the works of the member whom you're slinging capricious allegations at.

I can't wait for it! One of MPC's finest kits ever! Hopefully this time it'll include 'glass' which one can actually see-through (though, a deeply-tinted backlight would be period correct). Oh, and new tyres, too, please.

I have no problem with the obits -- I just wanted to be a wiseacre .

The other one is GW3 Sno-White. I've seen that one in person; I believe both are in the 'States. Nothing short of amazing that all eleven of those cars have survived ( 7 for U.S.; 2 Canada; 2 Export [France] ).

There have been some instances when I've purchased seriously-discounted originals just because they're made in the U.S.

I'll have to check out that film. I posted this in a facetious capacity -- all of these "so-and-so celebrity died today" posts (not knocking those; just being a jerk is all). The song its self is a tongue-in-cheek piece.

What would YOU like to see as a model

That's definitely Lower Wacker Drive... should be close to the honorable Richard J. Daly Plaza. -

My first thought was, I wonder if it was a side-effect from Chantix? I've never heard anything but bad things about that stuff...

Just received my copy yesterday, and all that I could say was WOW! when I was examining it! Absolutely stunning recreation! I remember when me neighbours had it back in c.1976 -- I wanted my own copy in the worst way! But, its retail price at the time (around $5 or $6 at Sears) was more than my allowance could afford. A couple of enquiries regarding this c.1968-c.1974 rig: 1.) Were all 8V-71 Detroit engines painted medium-dark red in these tractors? 2.) Frame & Chassis: what colours were available? 3.) Interior colours: it would appear that there were at least 4 different colours employed -- what was most common? 4.) Any of the above available in special order colours? Thanks.

Heck yes! at least offer a 6-in-1 (haha) of the van: Stock, Police, Ambulance, Shaggin' Wagon, Open Road, with a full complement of period options (how about that 396-402-427-454 for that far out dragster version!). So, return of the properly ribbed roof, 8 lug steel wheels w/separate hubcaps, a grip of sunroof/skylights (tinted and clear)... Oh, and surfboards!

Thanks for the information. I seem to remember that the valve covers were... off. IIRC, they're representative of the old Nash 287/327, and not the AM then-new V8's (1966 & later, 290-304-343/ 360-390-401). Based upon the evidence I've seen in a few annuals (most recently, my copy of the MPC 1972 Duster 340), the lead-time was long when researching/designing/developing next year's annuals: the original decal sheet has a date of '05-1971', which is only mid-year 1971, and months before the August changeover. Certainly, the AMX is no exemption (thanks for the info regarding the exclusivity of the 1/20 scale AMX! Interesting trivia for sure.).

A backdating would be GREAT. The original annuals of the Dodge B-Vans date to c.1971 (1972 is the earliest I've seen), and those were ripe with options. Should Round2 backdate (new scan & body?) the Dodge van, they could offer both the Tradesman and the Adult Toy (or whatever it's called). Now, how about the Chevy Van (AMT)? Recreate the "side-light" (colloq., window) inserts, and make the proper 8 lug wheels and accompanying hubcaps.
