  1. I got a 1/24 resin body off the CGLFC forum that a guy did himself. it was a slush cast so not very good but still good enough to build the most famous 74 dodge Next i'd like to get a 73 Oldsmobile Delta 4 door.
  2. Looking good. i'm interested in following the changes made to make it #1 as i will do them to mine. actually there's four versions. there are two from BTTF3, with white walls and with rail wheels.
  3. nice job on the engine. paint is excellent too
  4. Nicely done. that' actually be very nice to have 1:1 as well (old school style, modern comfort and power)
  5. it came out nice enough. Do you often change them back to stock? i like your chrome trim effort, it sets it off nicely.
  6. i pulled the chassis and found the hood was being held up by the firewall and radiator (arrows). i grind both them down and painted over them flat black. That helped to correct some of the problem with the alignment.
  7. They featured one on 'Wheeler Dealers' and bought a nice running example for $15,000.
  8. Niche? i thought Chrysler was a major us manfuacturer? at least it's something differnet than the endless repops of the 57 chevy. Looks like the V8 Supercars entry when it was rumoured Chrysler might join that series (psst: texas 2013)
  9. no it's not. the internet doesn't stop at the border. While i hate those zingers too, i imagine and hope they've brought a lot of 8 year olds into our hobby, and that's a good thing!
  10. Have a look through the G-Scale railway section. everything is 1/22.5 (near enough to 1/24 scale)
  11. AMT is a reboxed version of the Aoshima kit with fold-down wheels. i've never seen the PL version. I think it's all included, but they don't show you how to assemble it in a functional way.
  12. nicely detailed it's in the database (IMCDB) http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_392117-Ford-V8-18-1932.html
  13. yes, interesting depiction. Looks like the typical ebay 'in good condition' vehicle for sale.
  14. neato. certainly interesting kitbash there. meh, look the same as any other gremlin (bad paint, poorly maintained).
  15. nice job. came out sweeet.
  16. fabulous build. i hope he liked it
  17. you can open up the monogram caddy grille by grinding the back side of it. also the rear of Ecto-1, since there's talk of the bumper
  18. 73 chevelle! i built the blueprinter version of 74 laguna and the chevelle front wouldn't fit on it.
  19. New release from the parts box is the XB GT 4 Door. this was the australian version of the Ford Falcon in 1973. (those unfamiliar with it, the two door version is used in 'the road warrior'). They also have the MFP police version (hint: mad max). Both are 1/25 scale in white resin. My Review (repost from Scale Auto) The kit arrived in a small white box with a sample build of the kit on the box, in the box is the body, interior tub and flat chassis, also some baggies of small parts, rims, wheel backs, four black resin tires, clear headlights and also an antenna with metal whip/resin base. The police version also includes roof siren, rack and red/blue light covers and instead of the multi-slot rims they include a set of sunraysia style rims. Also included is a clear sheet for the windows, a template to cut them out, and single page instruction sheet. The body for the stock version was free of bubble or sink holes on the outside, and only two holes found on the police version that will need fixing. The body will require you to cut out the windows and clean up the fenders and sills, which i recommend a motor tool for this job. The separately purchased Decal sheet looks good, includes dash, bonnet (hood), boot (trunk), grille/fender GT badges and stripes for both GS and GT351 versions. The police version decals includes markings to create your own 'Dark One' version. Pros Accurate looking body Quality cast crisp sandable resin Cons Windows not cut out lots of clean up needed window glass not pre-cut or vac-formed. instruction sheet lame interior detail soft Decals separate purchase (probably good if you don't want them). Factory version by Jason Police Version by Jason I cleaned up the wheel arches with my motor tool (dremel) with a 1/4" drum sander And cut out the window blanks with the cut off wheel, before changing to a mini grinding bit. I then needed to finish with the hobby knife Makes for a nice body when cleaned up.
  20. interesting project and something completely different. kudos
  21. Nice IMSA. Top notch
  22. excellent conversion. Can you detail the changes you made and parts you added? (just so we know what to do to ours and see how much work went into it). I love the interior and the paint.
  23. Nicely built and detailed work of art. i keep thinking it's the 1/12 version because it's so well detailed.
  24. Nice 2CV. i've got one unbuilt that i've yet to decide how to build it. Get a paper crimper tool. it would either have to be thick foil or cardboard, but that's what people are using for corrugated iron for roof.
  25. i'm sure you'll do well with this killer camaro. the paint looks like it could do with some polish (or outside photography if it is shiney)
