  3. That's a really nice Trabbi!
  4. I really like the color and I guess I could like the headlight treatment, given some time. The Spoiler thou, looks a little out of proportion but, You did a good job and should be proud of it!

  6. Cool Manx, me likes alot!
  7. Very nice build! The earliest Bugs actually had painted doorhandles, bumpers and such....but it really suits this one as well!
  8. That's what I used for my "Maxi HaHa" when I built it a few years ago: I also built this one, inspired by the flying VW from Matchbox/Lesney
  9. So far this one is my only finished Caddy. A Jo-Han "Heavenly Hearse" built as a ratty old hearse complete w coffin and everything: But...I do have a few more to come....eventually....

Well, at this very moment all I have is two different AMT 5w coupes: Sorry about the lousy pics thou....
  11. Being a big fan of hearses I really like this build. The only thing I'd change is the missing rear doors. Other than that It's a very nice and clean build. And, the idea with the casket holding some surfboads is just awesome!
  12. Very nice and realistic build. There actually was a special grey color user by Wehrmacht, called Wehrmacht-grau. It's a very dark gray color, almost black. I hade a spraycan mixed for a build last year, a 1938 VW typ 38 prototype. If You Google it You'll easily find the RAL-code for it.Please check this link for my VW: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33084&st=0&p=332219&hl=+vw%20+prototype&fromsearch=1&#entry332219
  13. I only managed to finish off two models this year, but the third one , still OTB, has come quite a long way.... 1st one this years was my 1930 VW Type30 Prototype 2nd was the Matchbox-inspired Maxi HA HA And, finally...my "almost finished" 1936 Ford 3w coupe
  14. Cool! I have that Matchbox VW as well, AND a 1/25 plastic "clone" !!!!
  15. That's a very nice build! Well done!
  16. Finished this li'l Mini 2 weeks ago. Inspired by a 1/64 Lesney/Matchbox die-cast: And a portrait of the captain: Link to the whole album: http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t274/chromecop/8%20Maxi%20Ha-Ha/
  17. This is one of the prototypes that was built pre WW2. There were 44 built in 1938 and this particular one was on display in 1938-39 when AH held a speech to the people in Berlin. found a coloured picture on the net showing that scene and decided to build a 1/24 scale replica of that car using a Gunze 1956 VW as basis. To make this 1956 VW looking as close as possible to a Typ 38 prototyp I had to: Scratchbuild the split rear window, the taillights, the dashboard, the inner door-panels and parts of the front axle/suspension Find another steeringwheel, wheels and hubcaps Rebuild the muffler and put a mid-mounted single pipe Remove the two small "grille-ovals" and all chromelists Make a special order for the paint (Wehrmacht grau) And, here's a link to the whole album showing pictures in progress: http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t274/chromecop/VW%20typ%2038%20prototyp/
  18. Very nice bus! It'a pre -64 as it has only 9 louvers on the lower rear 1/4-panel.
  19. Many thanks for all the kind words on this one! Sorry, I don't have any engine detail pics as it's a curbside and most of the "engine dummy-plate" is covered by the exhausts and tow-hitch. However, here's a link to the whole album with close to 200 pics taken during the build: VW Bus, Moon style
  20. Great work in that one!
  21. Awesome build! Me likes!
  22. Last week I finished this build. It's a Hasegawa curbside with a Fujimi curbside Porsche 911 engine-plate and all scratchbuilt Porsche-style front- and rear suspension. Wheels roll and steer. The steeringwheel can be positioned to match the front wheels position. I also scratched: The rear VW emblem for the body The safari-style front windows The roof-rack (using evergreen rods and sheet plastic) The tow hitch The rack for the spare-wheel The dash The sunroof
  23. Here's a pic I found on the net showing the full scale Bugatti:
  24. That was indeed a real bargain! There were 7 different cars in this series. Bugatti 101 Jordan Playboy Pierce Arrow Stutz Duesenberg Mercer Packard I believe the Bugatti, the Mercer and the Stutz were produced as "one-offs" in 1:1 scale. The Jordan and the Bugatti, I think, are the 2 ones that are hardest to find. Luckily I've managed to add all 7 kits to my collection, half of them are built ups thou....
