  1. By the way , the guys I go with are aircraft guys and you can ask them, about silver/ aluminum finishes, we will be wearing our IPMS name tags from Reno. These guys are IPMS nationals champs so their aircraft finishes are great. I asked questions on aircraft models all the time. I have only built one and with their info, the darn plane took 3rd at the Vegas Nationals. Hope to see you at the contest!
  2. Hello Wick, I love the Yuba city show!!! A group of us from Reno ipms( high rollers) go there. Fantastic show! You guys are very pleasant and it’s a treat to go there, I will be at the next one for sure!
  3. Thank you very much for the pic! Like the wing. And the rear is at a good angle. Wow this is cool.
  4. Ok sir, I’ll find you something.
  5. Ok, I have to admit that I do not like long tailed Porsches. To me they look weird. John Wyer did not like them either. He hacked off a long tail to make the iconic short tail version. I am going to also hack off a few inches of this tail. Going to make papercard prototype wings to see how it looks. Doing a lot of prototypes before I hack up a $600 kit. Thank you Claude for the idea of making the rear wheel opening more round. Already looks a lot better.
  6. Fantastic Chris!!!! Looks great.
  7. Gumball rally
  8. These guys are right. Words like incredible, fantastic come to mind but if there is a word beyond that, that would be the word. This is totally beautiful. Great job sir.
  9. A little more completed. A lot of masking . Painting the tubes orange. Rollbar framework etc. I thought the blue with orange tubes on the car would be a striking contrast.
  10. I have one now . Trying to figure out which version to build. Might even build the Viking blue 64 cars. My hardest part is going to make the ( Dan Gurney for president sticker)er decal.
  11. Bought this , Honda element ex awd with 70,000 for $5000. I work in the car industry so when I find a deal I buy it. No car payments. But I now have 11 so the wife said we need to get rid of a few. I have grand daughters that in a couple of years will need a car so two will go. The 65 mustang, 05 corvette, 70 barracuda and 70 challenger stays with me.
  12. P. S. If your into F1 I have most of the 1/20 tamiya kits. And around 20 1/12 kits. So if you like those I can get you one of those. I just gave away a Renault 1/12 f1 kit to a friend that had his house burned down in a fire. So if your into that let me know what interest you have and I will send it
  13. Hello Carl. This is a great question. When I first started to model, it was to get my fine motor skills back after a stroke. Built a model and found out we had a IPMS club in our area. Joined the club and had fun ever since. What happened to me was I was winning a few shows, and a club member that was the DeAgostini rep gave me a few big kits and now they give me kits all the time. Same with agora. So now I get bored with the big kits. I had them back off kits because my shed could only so many. I have a gull wing just about finished , but started on the Ferrari GTO. Which is also on hold. I have over 500 2/24-25 kits that I love to build. I have over 13 model factory kits that were given to me from Mark and Mr Hiro when he was alive. I started the 1/12 917/30, stopped on that, started the 935/78 and am just restating that project. But just recieved a 1/12 model factory hiro cobra Daytona coupe kit that might have to be built first. So I started my modeling career by building one at a time but as in life things change with the best of plans. Definitely not complaining, even happy, but things do change . Oh what also changed my modeling career was winning the special award at the IPMS nationals in Las Vegas, model companies are giving me models all the time. The kids love me at our local IPMS meetings. I’m giving away free models all the time. That’s probably the most fun. If you need more models, let me know and it will get more confusing. Merry Christmas
  14. Thank you Carl. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
  15. Masking, a lot of masking. And still masking
  16. Here it is completed, outside pic.
  17. Love you builds! Sorry about your son. Hope things work out for you and your family.
  18. Hello Pierre, yes there is a cover but I will not be using it. Looks cool with the exposed engine.
  19. Thank you Mattilacken. The rules are really strange but Porsche took advantage of them, BMW was very upset .
