  1. Beautiful sir!
  2. Very nice!!! Great build. I have a friend who has two. Two lime green cars with 440’s he bought them when no one wanted them . Actually the dealers had a tough time selling them, but a few years later , they were selling for a little more than a new pinto. So he bought 2. At the time they were very big cars compared to what was selling at the time. Now he has a gold mine. I even worked on his. The front nose is steel, which surprised the heck out of me. Cool build sir. Great job.
  3. Very nice
  4. Bummer we cannot see that beauty. But I know you’ll have more beautiful builds there. Cannot wait to see them
  5. Radiator installed. Interior next.
  6. Look at the price of this model!
  7. Kingslug, my friend Mark has one complete kit . And a super great deal. PM me if interested
  8. Firewall assembled and installed.
  9. Plus I bought that car for $150
  10. Yes! I grew up driving a 1963 4 door falcon with a 170 6 and 3 on the tree. I wish I still had that car. Was a minimalist car but I really liked it. And you could work on it. Did not require a degree in computer s. Man, I really miss that car.
  11. That really worked out great.
  12. I remember a ford stylist in 1970 got into trouble for saying “maybe you should not run into things”. A person was commenting on the front bumper on the 1970 mustang that the bumper was too small. It was a big deal then, I guess. As a result was the starting of big 5 mph bumpers. …….That really work great. ?
  13. Sir, you will love that one. It is very beautiful.
  14. Thank you Noel. And I hear that the IPMS clubs in the UK are the best ever. My bucket list includes a visit to the Telford event, you guys can really build models.
  15. Hello Noel. I am very lucky as I have a friend who worked for DeAgostini models. My friend had an unassembled 1/10 Toyota 2000 GT model from DeAgostini laying around. He said it’s in the way , you can have it. So I took it , built it and things took off from there. It was all over the internet so he gave me another kit. A Red Bull F1 car. That did pretty good, so I built the ford GT. Etc.etc. Liam was at DeAgostini at this time and let my friend give me models to build . So I have some big kits . Still have a few from DeAgostini to build. They are in my shed. Next , Liam and a partner made Agora models. So now my friend works for Agora and I receive kits to build. I do not get to pick, they assign models to me. I would love to build the Aston for sure , but did not get picked for that. I would love to build the jag convertible but did not get picked for that either. Although i did get picked for the Mercedes gull wing. That’s pretty cool. I build them and get to keep them. I do have a few credentials. My occupation is an auto body technician. I have BMW certifications and ford f150 aluminum and ford GT certs also. Oh yes I almost forgot, corvette certs. And I did receive a special award at the IPMS Vegas Nationals for best Shelby. Second and third places at the nationals. This does help out Liam and Mark. Anyway this is a brief history of how I started in big scale. Here is a pic of the Toyota that started it all.
  16. Received more parts. Stripped the rear wheels, sanded and polished. Put the rear shocks on. The brake lines also. The body sits on the frame nicely. The bodywork is comming along . I’m sanding and blocking all the time. Till I’m satisfied with the preparation. Painted one of the hoods, the result is very nice. Will be painting the body soon. I just bought a Honda element with very low miles for an extremely low price. . I’m repainting it. So that’s taking most of my time. Here is the Mercedes so far.
  17. Great job!!! The side mouldings are very fragile. Yours came out great. Very cool build.
  18. Beautiful sir, another beauty from Curt. Will I see this at the NNL west?
  19. Thank you Pierre, trying to get thru this build. I have a friend that turns a sows ear and turns the kit into a silk purse. So this is what I’m trying to accomplish. My friends fun is when he takes a $5 kit and wins a contest with it. This is his fun in modeling. He has already won most contests and has this new challenge. It seems to be working. He is always in the magazine for the NNL west and always places in a IPMS contest. It’s his way of keeping interest in the hobby. Nothing wrong with that.
  20. Yes, wood and brass sheets.
  21. This is a kit I bought yesterday at the Fremont model contest. Before plastic. I’ve never seen one. Never going to build it , bought it just to add to the collection.
  22. AMT Ferrari 250 swb. Just mixed up some green out of toners. Fujimi wire wheels. Took a long time to get this body acceptable. The kit body is really off but trying to make make it work.
