  1. Went riding today. What views!
  2. Please take care!
  3. I would like to comment , This can drive one crazy. I know a guy that things have to be perfect but rarely finishes a kit. I think he drives himself crazy trying to achieve this. Around 10 years ago I was building for fun then wanted to enter contests. Did not fair so well at first. Hooked up with a couple of IPMS national winners and learned a lot from these guys. Started to win at a local level. But never thought I was a perfectionist. I believe a lot of people who drink alot or use drugs alot are perfectionist people and when it does not go their way, well the drinking starts etc. I try to do better by improving myself and not trying to out do others. Fast forward to today, I have won special awards , first place at a national IPMS level. Does this make me a perfectionist? I still do not see myself as a perfectionist. Other people think I am, but to keep it real , I am not. Just try to do better than the last time and have fun with your builds. What has happened though is I have lost the motivation to build. With achieving what I wanted to achieve, I think it took a little wind out of my sails.Just have fun and I think that’s perfect enough. P.S. I believe scalemaster and ace- garage guy summed it up perfectly.
  4. Tried to go up the hill on 431 to Lake Tahoe but the trails have a little snow still. Jeremy Renner lives up here. Had a bad accident with snow removal equipment. Looks great as his recovery was incredible. Broke over 30 bones. Anyways the trails were not open. Maybe in a month or so. We are pretty lucky living up here.
  5. Well Ray I better not. Some people really get jealous and it’s not a good thing. But I did make a skid plate,( it’s to protect the wiring under the bike. ) ok not exactly a skid plate but it’s made of carbon fiber that I had laying around for a corvette c8 project. It works and looks good Under there.
  6. Hello Claude, the more I look at this car the more amazed I am. I had quite a few mustangs and although the 71 is not my favorite I still had two of them. They are a great GT car. Very comfortable with some power. Your car is what ford should have done. Very cool model with great engineering prowess. Super job sir , just had to look again. Fantastic!
  7. I guess I better not post my new rv or my new talon side by side
  8. Try it and see
  9. My most favorite car as a kid. ! Great build!
  10. Great job Ray !!!! Just traded for this kit. The mustang is a Great War bird. I noticed there is alotta stuff in this kit. Yours came out great!!!!
  11. Sand blast the engine next. Gives it a realistic finish.
  12. Hello Pierre, taking time off projects for a little bit. I did fit the engine and painted the valve covers. But not much else. Just hit a wall in building. So I have been riding my bike to get through this. I’ll post a pic of the work on the engine. It’s not a lot. Thank you for the interest Pierre, I will start her up again.
  13. Yes sir it is. The reason I bought this bike was my doctor said I needed more cardio. I pulled out my old stingray , rode it and realized that I’m not a kid anymore. So I did a lot of research and came up with this. It’s not the fastest, but still goes 32 mph. It’s not the longest range on the battery. But will still go 40 miles on a charge. I rode it 10 miles and did not even feel it. The way it is designed is what I like. The battery is in the frame, the wiring management is hidden in the frame. The bike design is clean. The quality is fantastic. And I’m a picky sob. No e-bike garbage hanging off the frame. It’s a rear hub drive, which will get me home even if my chain breaks. Fat tires so I do not get stuck in bad road surface. Or those storm drains, the customer service is very good. I ordered it on a Friday and it I arrived on Monday. Assembly was easy. In a world where things are just garbage, this purchase was enjoyable. My wife really likes it and if her back surgery goes well, I’ll buy her one also. Honestly I have not had this much fun in a long time.
  14. Hello Zippy. It was $1499. On sale , was $1999. Since the aventure 2 came out it’s a great buy. A lot of fun for us old guys.
  15. Putting a few miles on my bike. Bought a receiver on Amazon.Bought a bike rack o Amazon also. Modified the rack. Was not going to pay $800 for a bike rack. So I made a front mount so the bike would not go anywhere. Rode and put a few miles on the bike this weekend. Without much effort you can travel a long distance. I’m going through a modeling slump so I’m riding my bike.
  16. Wish I could go. Love Myrtle Beach! But the 2500 mile drive is a little long for me.
  17. Decals, my worst fear in modeling. But you pulled it off ! Fantastic!
