looks great!! My Favorite body style besides the early Foxes has anyone mentioned its a 67 ?? hehehe

Finally decided to make my vintage 25 Coupe right I've had this old thing for years but it hasn't had its correct parts. I decided to pull the incorrect stuff off and replace it. I left the body engine and frame as it was originally done in the 60s, paint an all. Put in an interior and attached the new suspension and headers. The wheel caps are unknown but had the same old look as the rest of the car. tried to go for the look of a vintage rod pulled out and had new tires put on to run and a shot with the Roadster I built from the new issue

The car looks pretty good I can'tr help but wonder tho ... if those wheels were less chrome or even the matching red would they look a bit better

Man I love it Not a huge Lowrider guy but man I know when a car looks good Now about those plates .... Why ya kill the Wife ?? hehe

Here's my latest finish. Got myself into Hot Rod Mode again hehe. I built the AMT 25 T rod this go round. Bought me a second kit just so I could have a Bucket ...... that should give ya a clue as to what a future build will be. Built it almost completely box stock and in a way I would have built it back in the 60s. Only changes I made was using a set of front wheels from the second kit for rears, and a set of tail lights from one of the revell 32s. Sprayed the tub turtle deck, and frame in Krylon gold. Left the interior tub the raw white

Ok guys I'm building a Double T kit Rod box stock metal axle and all. What I'm stuck on is how and where the drag link attaches to the front suspension ??? once I know where it hook on that end attaching it to the side of the tub will be easy. Any of ya have a good pic of your kits front end set up or willing to take a detailed pic of the front end in the drag link area ??? Thanks

General Lee color?
Rick Schmidt replied to crowe-t's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That right there is why I have never seen the point of trying to get the EXACT orange this car was. Everybody has been looking at this car for near 30 years on TVs Magazines and Computers. Every one of those screens woulda shown the same. Heck are we 100 Percent sure every GL on the show was the exact same orange ?? " This car is gonna fly throw the air hit the ground and be done forever for one scene. Lets make sure it's perfect match " ??? Just pick an orange that looks right to you and go with it -
Man gonna be an awesome build when done

Revell, Malibu Grand Prix kit
Rick Schmidt replied to Ben's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ya know I was thinkin the same. The Manufacturers could market trailers and such from their older kits. I Know I'd be interested in buyin a few smaller trailers and such without having to also buy a car I don't want -
General Lee color?
Rick Schmidt replied to crowe-t's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mike that is not the correct shade of orange.... Anyone who is knowledgeable in General Less will see that and tell you so !! Me on the other hand I think that looks close enough. -
I gotta agree When us car guys are building our dream car we can care less that we are putting way more into the car than its worth. We think "man I'll never sell it anyway " but then he decides to do just that. Unlike most fools ya see " 92 Chevy Truck Has many mods over 10000 in mods to suspension and Motor Asking 13000.. " he's just being real and like Dave says knows he'll never get it all back. So you end up with the baddest deal around he gets rid of the truck he no longer has interest in Everybody is happy. Congrats on the new truck Looks like a monster

I'm Jealous ......

Just finished up partially redoing my Ford F350. Truck had fallin into serious disrepair even had a front wheel turn up missing ?? lol I also had a Diecast F650 that I wasn't really feelin. Realized I could sit the wrecked Monogram Cab on the 650 Chassis and make a Monster of a Truck lol. The new Chassis was longer than the old one so a new bed was needed. Took the trailer from the Dodge 700 kit, and cut down one section to build a flatbed from. Added various parts from a junker Peterbilt I have, such as tanks Flaps and mirrors. The Cab is as it was since all the other stuff was old built stuff I decided not to touch the cab. Front bumper is actually a fender from a tandem axle trailer Started with this after it sat neglected for quite a while

The Downside to Roadster Ownership
Rick Schmidt replied to Nate's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If thats the only Downside to a roadster , sign me up !!! -
I was looking at this diecast today myself. It's quite large. Was the 1/1 a big car ?? Seems to me it was near the size of the Diecast Crown vics below it. If its accurately sized I'll be headin back
-
Gonna follow along cause I am at this very moment about to start my SVO. I also wanna backdate the headlights but gotta figure out if thats all thats needed first. Plannin on doin mine in Dark grey and slightly lowered. Being a factory 5 lug Fox makes wheel options a bit easier too hehe

This one is for real
Rick Schmidt replied to 935k3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Harry A lot of us younger guys like the Hideous Movie Batmobile as ya call it. I know I prefer it over the 60s one. Besides No matter which version ya prefer Ya gotta admit that an actual Turbine powered Batmobile is freakin Awesome!!!! -
It's a gasser!! lol . I don't recall any issues with the lights. Maybe I just got lucky and got em in just right. Seems a lot on this car is pretty tight with its tolerances Perhaps your paint is a hair too thick. I had the same issue with the Chassis tho lotta tape an superglue helps lol
