Beautiful Corvette. It really looks great in the Maroon.

Great build. Interesting looking car. Sort of look like a cross between an ax head and a greenhouse.

Oddly, Yellow Freight always had orange tractors. It was called Swamp Holly Orange, and it was supposed to by more visible.

Didn't Yellow merge with Roadway back about 10 years ago or so?

It looks like Yellow Trucking will be no more: After $700 Million U.S. Bailout, Trucking Firm Is Shutting Down (yahoo.com) This could be bad. Wonder who's going to pick up the slack? Swift? England?

I think I've only done three Monogram 1/24 kits so far. Built this Mack AC in March 2019: Then this 1964 Pontiac GTO back in January 2020: Ok, that's kind of blurry. And finally this Buick Regal Grand National in March 2021:

The engine in the kit is supposed to be a Caterpillar 3208, but it's actually an older 1160. This might help with your detailing of the engine: CM09 Sept 1991 Caterpillar 3208 diesel album | Dutch Model Truck Club | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy. In this era Ford, the engine would either be Ford Blue, or Cat Yellow, but predominantly Ford Blue.

I have used tire decals on a couple of models, and I have to say that I was skeptical at first. However, that being said, I think they can ass a lot to a race car model. Here is my Revell 2015 Corvette C7.R with the Michelin dire decals similar to the ones in the Revell Ford GT kit: I didn't prep the tire in any way (which I might regret later), and I did mount the tire to the wheel prior to adding the decals.
