  1. Good luck with your build. Stuffing a 8V71T under there should be interesting.
  2. The information that I have shows that the kit is a 1971-73 White-Freightliner WFT7564T. As to the Detroit Diesel 8V71T, most heavy trucks could be spec'd out with whatever engine you wanted. The kit's (I believe) is a Cummins NH250.
  3. A little more progress today on the frame & engine.
  4. Thanks. I guess Revell thought the custom look would appeal to the younger crowd. They did it with the 1950 Ford F1 as well, but at least the 1941 Chevrolet can be built completely stock. I don't think the Ford F1 can (incorrect engine).
  5. Thanks, Henry. No, the deck plate & steps are Dupli-Color Bumper Chrome paint. The ladder & basket are Dupli-Color Aluminum engine paint.
  6. So, after my disaster with the IVECO-Magirus, I needed a quick build. So I picked the Revell 1941 Chevrolet Pickup. I'm hoping to finish it as a USFS truck. Here is where I am now:
  7. Thanks, Gator; but unfortunately this one is fighting me to the end. I was trying to permanently mount the front fenders to the cab, and the drivers seat popped off! Then to fix that, I had to just about disassemble the cab. So close, and yet so far! I really don't have any idea how I'm going to get the interior back into the cab without completely destroying it.
  8. Great looking combination! Very well done.
  9. I believe you are correct.
  10. The only one that peaked my interest a little was the 2006 Ford GT, just because it's interesting. I already have 2 of the Peterbilt 352 kits, and I don't plan on purchasing another one just because Round2 has added Coca-Cola decals.
  11. Nicely done. Is this the AITM conversion?
  12. While the Peterbilt 352 is nice, for some reason I'm more interested in the 2006 Ford GT.
  13. I generally do not do paper models, as I find them VERY difficult to construct. Heck, sometimes I feel like I can barely assemble plastic models; but I digress. I was looking through Common Tread over on RevZilla, and there was an article on free origami downloads from Yamaha. Well, I thought I would spread the word over here on Model Car Magazine. Here is the link to the Yamaha Origami page. Enjoy!
  14. Think Round2 will Coca-Cola the dozer, too?
  15. It even looks like there's a "Death Star" on the box art. Looks "interesting". Let's leave it at that!
  16. I was stationed at Ft. Polk from 1992-1994 with Btry C, 2nd Bn, 43rd ADA (PATRIOT), 108th AD Bde.
  17. Nice looking Desert Tiger. They sure are placing a lot of explosives Under that tank!
  18. Great looking PayStar. Very well done. How far us Sulphur, LA, from Ft. Polk?
