  1. So, plugging along on the Chevrolet AK, and I have the bed painted; but as I was painting it I realized that I really have no idea what the floor of the bed should be. It has a wood floor molded in, so should this be natural wood? Was it painted stock from the factory? If so, what color? I'm pretty sure that the light at the end of the tunnel is the headlamp of an oncoming train!
  2. After doing extensive research on the subject, here is what I have determined you'll need to correctly build Snowman's W900 (not K900, no such thing). Anyway, here goes. You'll need the AMT Kenworth W925 kit for the frame, hood, & sleeper. If you can find one with the tandem torsion bar suspension, that's a plus, because you'll need one of those, too. They are available from the aftermarket (Double Take Replicas, maybe?). You'll also need the cab & VIT interior from the Revell of Germany Kenworth W900 kit. For the engine, you can use the Cummins NTA380 from the AMT kit as some of the movie trucks had them, or you can pick up a Caterpillar 1693 from Kit From Services in England (he calls it the Yellow Engine). I do not believe the Snowman's truck has twin sticks for the transmission. In fact, I'm not even sure what type of transmission it had. Maybe Ben Wicker will know. Good luck with your build.
  3. If I remember correctly, Cummins engines in the 1930s were are dark golden yellow (or maybe that was later); but since this is going in a hot rod, paint it whatever color you want.
  4. Must be moving up in the world!
  5. Great looking Ducati! You can almost hear the rattle of the dry clutch!
  6. I highly doubt it. I believe they are making plenty of money off of the 1/35 military stuff, that there is no reason to delve into 1/25 heavy trucks. Right now they're riding the "WWI 100th Anniversary Wave", so it's kind of cool to see some decent WWI stuff.
  7. Auslowe makes 1/32 tires & wheels? Does he make US wheels, do you know?
  8. This might be posted somewhere else on the Forums, but ICM has recently released their 2018 catalog https://issuu.com/icm2018/docs/catalogue_2018_small_c?e=32447008%2F57625963. It looks like they are planning to issue a crew for their 1/24 1914 Model T fire truck. They are also planning on issuing some 1/24 SWAT figures.
  9. I've heard that the 1/32 AMT kits were nice. How do the wheels & tires scale out? Rumor has it they are sort of small.
  10. I've been tempted to try some of these 1/43 trucks; however, this thread does beg the question: are there any decent 1/32 scale truck wheels & tires to replace the ones in the Revell snap kits?
  11. As far as I know, he's never had a Website.
  12. Wait a second! Gary has a Website?
  13. That's pretty cool. I don't think the AMT Coca-Cola AutoCar will need it , though!
  14. Very impressive! Great work, and I'm looking forward to the new one.
  15. Nicely done. It looks great.
  16. That looks awesome. Very well done.
  17. I know! Amazing, right? Did you check out the video in the airport? It's nuts!
  18. Those are some nice looking trailers, Casey.
  19. Interesting ideas. I might have to keep an eye out for the Ertl trailer. All of this is purely academic at this point as I need to build the F8 first.
  20. Interesting contraption! I wouldn't like to be the guy manning this thing as it lumbers through a mine field.
  21. Nice looking 88mm. Well done. That's a lot of kill rings on the barrel!
  22. Here is a video of a Boeing 777 made completely from manila folders. This is a little (ok, a lot) above my skill level!
  23. Pretty neat! Do you have a 5-ton or a Duce an a half to tow them?
  24. Pretty cool kits. 1/4" scale is the same a 1/48 scale.
