  1. I messaged him through this site a few days ago with the same question. No response so far. I just messaged him through his site.
  2. I think that the owner of the Camaro has "small hands".
  3. Our sucky NBA team just got a new stadium on the taxpayer's dime. Greed isn't limited to the NFL.
  4. Tube headers is probably what I would do too. Hurst shifter, aftermarket tach, Polyglas tires on Torque Thrust wheels. Like the proud second owner would have had it around 1970-71.
  5. The 271 HP exhaust manifolds were different, at least in a Mustang. The outlets pointed more at the ground than the standard versions. The later 351W manifolds had a similar shape, (Pic shamelessly stolen from e-Bay)
  6. Like if they had continued making the 2 door Safari. I like the idea!
  7. I don't know if it is a urban legend or not, but I have heard that not enough smallblock top loaders could be produced to meet demand after the Mustang was introduced, so Ford started buying T-10s again.
  8. She was a very talented and beautiful person when she was young. I don't know the rest of her story, but I saw her in Tahoe in 1988. She seemed drunk or drugged during her performance. The singing was not good and her attempt at comedy was worse. She talked a lot about Carrie even then. Perhaps she was living vicariously through her even then. We have lost far too many talented people this year. RIP Debbie and Carrie.
  9. Ugh. That engine is kind of toy like, and the exhaust manifolds are a joke. Also, it looks like they tooled the radiator to match the later model water pump borrowed from the F100. Weren't both hoses on the passenger side until 1969? Looks like the Cyclone has the lower hose on the driver's side. Oh, and wouldn't they have used a top loader transmission in 1965 instead of a T-10 Warner?
  10. Beautiful car! Also, the Boss did not have the honeycomb panel between the taillights. A fun read for a trip down memory lane: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/1971-ford-mustang-boss-351-review
  11. Mach 1 had a body-colored bumper, the Boss 351 should have a chrome standard bumper, IIRC.
  12. I was thinking that the Scooter model without the rear seat was discontinued by 1979-80, and this pdf seems to confirm that all 79s had rear seats. https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits/Chevette/1979-Chevrolet-Chevette.pdf
  13. My pet peeve with this kit is the missing upper front shock mounts. Scott at Futurattraction offers them in resin, thankfully. Easier than trying to scratch build them, and they are different than a Mustang. Good call on the window. I owned a 1:1 '67 GTA many years ago, and I never noticed the issue with the kit's window shape.
  14. Yes. They originally had 1967 interior pieces. Revell pretended that they didn't know, but would ship replacement parts if you complained loudly enough. The pattern on the rear seat is still wrong even with the replacement parts.
  15. It's a beautiful car, but I can't imagine that color on anyone's fingernails or especially toenails.
  16. AMT '64 Impala had a display chrome disc brake. Looks like we have an all Steve thread
  17. When the Moebius F100 first came out, I thought I would get one. My LHS had it for $35.99. That was past my price point for a kit like that. I looked online, but never ordered one. Then I heard the griping on here about the kit's issues and saw pictures of what is in the box. I decided that I had enough to do without adding another kit to the stash. I guess that was my first run-in with a $30+ kit.
  18. Looks like $66.50 using the US Postal Service or $101.79 using FedEx.
  19. I have a "flat box" version in my stash, copyright 1998, that I will never build. My LHS has another one in a more traditional box on the shelf for $12 US in their NOS models department. Let me know if you don't find something closer. Unfortunately, it would probably take $40 to ship them to you from California.
  20. Ugh. The first thing that I hauled in my first convertible (70 Cutlass in 1980) was an incredibly huge pizza. At about 70 mph, there was enough wind buffeting in the back seat to make the pizza box start to levitate. Good thing that my front seat passenger had long enough arms to smack down the pizza before it left the car. Would make an interesting diorama, I guess.
  21. Me too, that's why I grabbed it for the reasonable sum of $15. I opened it when I got home. Glass is perfect. The white parts are stil in the original bag. The Gates tires are missing, but I wasn't going to use them anyway. There are probably some in my parts box if I change my mind. Emblems and scripts are really light. This is going to be a challenge to foil.
  22. Honestly, I swear that half of the people on this forum must have 12:00 flashing on their Betamaxes. I like my 2016 car and its newfangled features. And my 2014 car and its newfangled features. My 68 Mustang was awesome and I miss it. In reality, I couldn't reach the parking brake with my shoulder belt on. The Mazda turns on the wipers when the windshield gets wet.
  23. Scored this sealed (or resealed) GMC and some Spaz Stick at the LHS today. They must have purchased part of a collection or something. They also had the 72 stepside, a Mach Won, and an original AMT 62 Corvette. Some other stuff too, like the original Revell 240Z, original red, white and blue 53 Chevy panel truck POS that we all tried to build as kids.
  24. "Black plate" doesn't mean a whole lot on a pre 1963 vehicle. The black on yellow 1956 plates were replaced by yellow on black plates then. Plus, if you can come up with a pair of black plates that DMV considers clear (not assigned to a vehicle) they will let you reassign them to a 1963-69 vehicle. Likewise the earlier plates for an appropriate vehicle. Nice Cameo nonetheless.
