Using HTTP solved the issue for me, as you can see by my "like" on your post.

What would YOU like to see as a model
Rodent replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Agreed. My friends converted one 170" and lived in it for a year, but all the rest they have done are 144s. They are more maneuverable and they found that the small amount of extra space in the 170 wasn't worth it. They never converted a 170 with the extended rear. -

I realize that it isn't a "kit", but A&N does several versions on "M-S" van in resin. I have held back several times from buying a few. I have friends that build custom Sprinter campers and would like to replicate one for them as a gift. Oh, and the current forum gremlins now don't like imbedded links, so anyone that can repost this like, please do. https://an-modeltrucks.com/shop/german-panel-van-m-s-5-5-ton-normal-full-resin-kit-1-24/ -
Boss 351 Hood Painting
Rodent replied to Perspect Scale Modelworks's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I thought about that myself, but decided that making the decal lie down around the scoops would probably be a nightmare. I bought some matte black striping tape and I am going to give that a shot when I get around to mine. -
More new car deliveries
Rodent replied to Earl Marischal's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Google hits seem to suggest that it is the Rouge Complex. Now that I think of it, it can't be San Jose. The original assembly building is still standing and it looks nothing like that. It is a way spread out single level. It is most likely a staged publicity photo with the suits present, but if they had a marshalling yard there, cars from other plants would be present for distribution by truck. -

The old San Jose (Milpitas) Ford plant is now a shopping mall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Mall_of_the_Bay_Area -
Read for comprehension Michael. Mr. Goldman will be at the Akron show on October 14th with an MPC release from the late 70's and a few other surprises. The AMT 67 or 68 Galaxies won't be the MPC release from the late 70s. Will they be the surprises? We won't know until the weekend. They are surprises. Who knows? Looking forward to the release news no matter what it is. Reissues and surprises are great for the hobby. Even if they aren't your cup of tea or mine, they are someone else's or they wouldn't be re-released. Cheers!

Thanks Ben. I was thinking that would need some bracing. Not sure when I will start this build, but I am following yours for inspiration. The transkit is really nice, but the Tamiya kit's upholstery pattern appears to be wrong for an R model.

They must have had a marshalling yard at the plant. Not all of those cars were built there. Mustangs on the train leaving for other regions and the other cars on the way to West Coast dealers? -
From Wikipedia: What are the noise requirements for EV? The federal safety agency previously passed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 141, which requires that all 2020 model year and newer electric and hybrid vehicles under 10,000 pounds be equipped with a pedestrian warning sound. My neighbor's 2020 CR-V sounds like George Jetson's car when she drives by. My other neighbor's older Tesla Model S makes no sound other than the tires on the pavement.

What did you use to remove the kit bumper, and do you think you will need to add "brackets" to mount the ZoomOn bumper securely?

How to make high detailed engines?
Rodent replied to Milo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Going to step in gingerly, say something, then retreat. I have seen a lot of your posts here and I am excited that we have a new member. My suggestion is that you ignore trying to duplicate all of the truly amazing, super detailed builds on here and focus on getting basic paint and assembly skills down. I don't think you seem to be at that level yet, but I hope I am wrong. -
I received three sets of dually wheels and tires from Moebius / Pegasus. I am not sure what I will use them on, but wanted to grab them while they are available. I got the chrome because that gives me the option of stripping and painting them if I decide to go that way. They are the same price as plain and are very reasonable IMHO. https://pegasushobbies.wpcomstaging.com/product/dually-rims-tires-chrome-plated/ I also received a 21 car "NASCAR" wall case from Carney Plastics. I was originally going to hang it on the home office wall over the computer, but I think I should have ordered an 18 car. We decided to take down some artwork on another wall and hang it there instead. Maybe it will go up tomorrow, I don't know. They are very nice cases, mirrored back and slanted shelves. Not going to put NASCAR in it, that is just what they call this style case. https://shop.carneyplastics.com/NASCAR-Diecast-Model-Car-Display-Case-21-Car-124-ANGLE-Shelves-P456.aspx

I have had nearly zero issues with the post office, both shipping and receiving. When I used to sell on FleaBay, packages that I dropped off on Saturday before noon would sometimes be delivered on Monday on the other side of the country.

Can't fix a shoulder puncture. Jim, it's time to go to Tire Rack and order up a set of 18s and tires. Keep the 16s for snow tires.

How about...... un-bashing? Due to a terrible addiction to buy all the cool stuff I see on this forum (looking at you @hgbben), I bought a Tamiya Volvo 850 wagon on eBay and ordered the 850 T-5R update kit from ZoomOn Models in Hong Kong. I asked for tracking, but I was unaware that also meant that they would require a signature. I am lucky to be able to WFH on M-W-F, in office T-T, but USPS tried to deliver my package on Tuesday when I was in the office and the spousal unit had a substitute gig. My local Post Office is horrible in the customer-facing department, so I went online to try to reschedule delivery online on a day I would be home rather than stand in line and have my package thrown at me. For some reason, the system wouldn't take the tracking number on the form so I couldn't reschedule redelivery online. We have a new carrier on the route, and I caught him on Wednesday and explained the situation. He is a really nice guy, and he wrote himself a note to redeliver it today. I saw him NOT come up to the door today, so I caught him when he returned to his LLV. He remembered what he told me and said that he asked "him" (keeper of undelivered packages?) to put it out for him today, but had forgotten to double check if that actually happened. What happened next almost made me fall over. Robert said that he was near the end of his route and would go back to the Post Office (about 2 miles) when he was done, get my package, and deliver it. That is exactly what he did. I tried to give him a tip, but he refused. BTW: this little resin, PE, and decal transkit is hella cool and they threw in a pair of aluminum fart mufflers and some Honduh/Acura badge decals as well. ZoomOn has other some cool stuff and I will be ordering more from them.

What size wheels for AMT Tires?
Rodent replied to RocketFoot's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Can't confirm, but will try to help. I don't have that tire pack (I thought I did, but I can't find it...), but I have the "Wild Wheels and Wide Ovals" PP020/24 set. I believe the tires are the same as the F60-15 tire kits. They are a perfect fit IMHO in Joel's 15x8 slots. I ASSume that the L60-15s would fit the 15x10 wheels, but I can't confirm. Pic is Joel's 15x8 slots with the AMT tires and his 15x8 Radial T/As. Tires are pretty much the same size. -

Mike, my mother-in-law had dementia. We found out from her doctor that some folks have trouble swallowing and tend to aspirate a small amount of food or beverage. As a result of that she had quite a few bouts with bacterial pneumonia. She would recover from that, but her mental abilities never really came back to the state she was before the pneumonia. Really sorry to hear about your dad's condition.
