  1. Making a little progress....
  2. Just a heads up. This kit is $9.99 at my local Hobby Lobby.
  3. That was my car when I was a kid. Nice job.
  4. Nailed it. I tend to shy away from cars with a lot of chrome, but it's always a satisfying feeling when you knock one out. Great build.
  5. I have always loved this kit. When I was the kid, the wheels always caught my eye. You did a wonderful job.
  6. That is rad! Love it. Makes me want one.
  7. Love it. I picked up 3 of these kits in the Coca Cola version on clearance at Walmart a couple weeks ago.
  8. My 14 year old self would have jumped off a cliff to have a ZR1. Truly iconic car. I love your rendition. Great job.
  9. Thanks folks. Still plugging along. I snagged a few more models yesterday (don't tell my wife).
  10. I found a really cool 78 Dodge on the internet. I'm trying to loosely recreate it. Mixed up a little paint. Kind of close to what I was going for. Here's a rough mock up of my progress and my inspiration.
  11. Well done. Very cool.
  12. Slick! Great job!
  13. That's a beauty!
  14. This is the AMT Coca Cola kit. It had the flash and fitment issues that you would expect from an older kit. The perplexing thing was the glass seemed to be from a different kit. I totally cracked it trying to size it up. Found the correct glass in my graveyard box. Interestingly enough, the red tinted glass that also came with the kit would have fit. The paint is Testors Aztek pearl purple over a gold base. My trusty Rust-oleum Crystal Clear Gloss enamel clearcoat. I like the Rust-oleum clear because it behaves well with the Testors paint. For some reason the paint on right front fender looks kind of wrinkled in the photo. Not sure why, but it's smooth in real life. Nothing special to note. I added plug wires. Just tried to make a nice clean model to display. Very enjoyable build. Thanks for giving it a look.
  15. Got the glass sorted thanks to my junkyard stash.
  16. I've yet to do this kit. You did it very nicely. Great job.
  17. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the good words.
  18. Everything was rocking along pretty good until I got the the windshield. Totally does not fit. I'm going to have to do some major sanding or make a new one. Here she is:
  19. Work of art.
  20. Awesome built. Love it.
  21. Beautiful. ?
  22. Been a while since I bought them!
  23. I love those paints. I guess they have discontinued them? I bought up a stash worth some time back and haven't shopped for any since.
