  1. WRP(Wilde Racing Products) makes nice hood scoops of styrene, 1 pr. for like $4. I use them a lot. I also use the two part glazing and the MMD green putty on my builds, judge for yourself. Well , I've tried several times and methods to upload some pics for you, but to no avail, I'm still having issues with file size and Photobucket. If you want to see some of these as finished, PM your email. Karl
  2. Looks great! Just a thought to watch for during testing, Being as the cabinet is plastic, it may tend to have static issues. I used MDF board for mine and the vac system created a fair amount of static during painting. Make sure the motor is grounded also. Awesome idea, keep us updated!
  3. Went through a friends collection he bought,
  4. Maybe check before you start to see if the chassis base is true and flat, it could have a twist in it straight out of the box. If so, use some of the techniques discussed here to straighten it. Also check your suspension parts for the same issues.
  5. I haven't tried this, but what about the Metalizer paints, they have a variety of metal finishes and some can be buffed.
  6. Thanks, that looks great! Thanks to you both!
  7. Curious as to what others have done to 'fix' or remedy the grill section not fitting to the fender width. Push out the fenders and add to the hood or is there enough material to properly some how section the grill section? Thanks, Karl
  8. That would be a nice idea!
  9. I've been debating these for awhile now, but I better get them entered before DaveM takes all my ideas! LOL. A VW van with Vette chassis and a Gremlin.
  10. You could buy a set of 'through' punches, typically used in the steel industry. These are the same principle as your die cutter, with the exception that they have center points on the end. They should fit your cutting unit.
  11. Thanks for the compliments on the helmet, I need to change the whole bottom half, that was just the start of the base piece. She had an outfit that was makeshift, we had a month to throw it together, eventually make more pieces for her.
  12. Hopefully finish some drag bodies, Glidden T-Bird Superman Firebird a Monza Funny car and the 1970 Cutlass Ralley that didn't make the Cannonball start line a Promod Superbird and this for my daughter...a Hawkgirl helmet

  16. Kit arrived today......, tons of parts, unpainted body, NICE resin figs, cool pics from show on box top, neat box bottom. The decals are longer than the box, so they are a little curled on one end.

  21. Does anyone have an answer to why this new release keeps getting delayed?
  22. I was reading here about fixing warped resin, thanks for the tip that resin is heat sensative. I used my trusty hairdryer method as I do on styrene ,with a little more caution, to fix a warped hood. Worked like a charm and very quickly, compared to styrene. I only needed medium heat and cool dried for a minute or so!
  23. Not sure if I get to finish, too much going on, but trying to get back into it. Ralley interior basically done. Man..look at that dust
  24. I recently bought a lighting kit (board) for the 66 Batmobile. Does anyone have contact info for 'Scale Model Action' guys from youtube, or a source to buy the lights? Thanks, Karl
