  1. I would be interested in a FC. I agree some vintage footage on the box would be cool. Only thing it sounds like the parts are not accurate. That would be my biggest qualm, is if they are going to do 1/16 the tube chassis needs to be more accurate and fix the issue that the smaller kits have with the body mount, making the body set to high.
  2. I bet... TDR's 3D printer was down for some time. I ordered my block and heads on the 3rd of December and they just arrived on Friday. So you may be waiting awhile, I am sure they had a bit of a backlog.
  3. I noticed that as well. Another thing to help out so you aren't having to do all that dancing around to go around the dashboard, if you drill a hole through it and go down at an angle it will help with that. I know you are just starting out, but I would really encourage you to do some searching on the internet to help you out. Like the old saying, "A Picture is worth a Thousand Words"! Reference Pictures are your friend, I would never try and attempt something without reference pictures to build off of. For one, I know nothing about these cars, but love to build them. So I have to do a lot of research, just to get up to speed with some of these guys that have 1:1 Drag Cars or do this kind of think in their free time. Here is a 10.5 car, and you can see what Joe is talking about. Now this isn't a 57 Chevy, and sure you can find one pretty easy. I did a quick search and pulled this up in just a couple minutes. But it is a great reference of how the front A Pillar bars should come down and meet up with the chassis of your 57 Chevy Interior Tub.
  4. Very nice Nova.. one of my favorite subjects! I may have to hit DOM up for some tires as well for my nova. My only feedback IMO, the Cowl Hood looks to tall with that snorkel on top. Do you have a color in mind?
  5. Interesting a Ford Motor in a Chevy, that is just messed up! Now I have heard of a Chevy engine in a Ford, this makes them run better! LOL
  6. Not when they can insert SIM cards under your skin now and use that for Personal Information. IE: Drivers License, Dr. Info, Allergies and such. They just swipe your wrist with the wand and presto, all your information comes up on the screen.
  7. Very cool on the Development! Why not Android? I have the Galaxy S2, I like my touchwiz from Samsung. Just don't care for all the Carriers bloatware on it. Careful about the new Droid Razor, way to many issues with that device. I know a friend that just got one, and that thing shuts off or screen goes blank all the time on it. Since I actually work for a Wireless Carrier, I get 2 new phones a year for free. So I usually get one every 6-8 months when something new comes out that I want. Thinking about the 5" screen Galaxy Note. I like Apple to a point, but I can't deal with the iPhone's small 3.5" screen they use. Maybe the iPhone 5 will change that.
  8. This is why you don't use a phone that has a 3.5" screen! LOL.... I love my 4.5" screen smartphone and use it to access the internet and even post on this forum when away from my computer. Nothing against anyone just typing in the number from memory, I do this as well with the numbers I dial on a consistent basis. But if you are like myself with Contacts of more then 200+ people (Business and Personal) this is not an option. This is why Smartphones have "Speech to Text", you say the person you want and it automatically dials the number or pulls the number up so you can send a text. I use this actually all the time when driving in my car. Much easier and I don't have to type anything. Just say, "Hi Galaxy" and tell it what I want it to do. If I say text, it will ask who I want to send a text to.
  9. Myself I like HP, have used the HP Elitebook for work for the last 10 yrs. Actually my company replaces it every 3 yrs due to Warranty. Personally I own an HP Envy 17 and love it. It is a work horse, very heavy and that is why it is a Desktop replacement. Not something you want to stick in your backpack and carry around all day. But would much rather have my Laptop then a Desktop any day even with the cost difference. Hate being tied down, the Laptop makes it so you are mobile and can go to any room and use it when needed. I would have to agree with the other person that posted about what are you looking for? What do you plan to do with your laptop? IE: Photoshop or extensive processing or just surfing the net? Because you don't want to go Cheap on your processor and RAM if you plan to do any Video or Photo editing! A $300 Laptop is not going to cut the mustard as they say...
  10. Great Idea Charlie, can't wait to see this get started and the ProTech parts to start rolling.
  11. So something more like this first one with the stock looking front end, and not with an outlandish slopped front end then? I would be interested in knowing what the wheel base was during this era of Pro Mods, any different than from today?
  12. Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. It would be cool to have the NOS bottle bracket set up for upright bottles. And the ultra light rotors
  13. Very interesting, did you roll these just like on a 1:1? Curious to know how you were able to shrink the excess metal due to the fender curve and the rounded Lip.
  14. Joe any updates on the build out of the front of your chassis yet?
  15. By chance do you have this build up posted on the forum? I would really love to see the Work in Progress of this build! Love the Big and Littles, kinda has that Pro Touring look more than anything about it.
  16. I would agree, I can only imagine what it looks like in person. But WOW is all I can say, I spent a bit of time just trying to take in every little detail that this thing has on it, in it and all over it... just amazing the little details it has.
  17. I agree, this is an awesome build. I would love to have a real GT350 in my driveway! The pic of the car sitting on that table, not sure what it is on, but that looks like a scale parking lot with cracks filled with Tar. Much better than the pic with the car sitting on the 1:1 blacktop. Looks out of scale, if you can photoshop that one pic and get rid of the chair you should put that pic in the "Is it Real or a Model" section.
  18. 1/16 PE stuff would definitely be cool, only problem would be the thickness. You have to back everything with styrene. Easier to buy the parts, scan in and scale them up and cut them out of Aluminum yourself. Then use the original parts for your smaller builds.
  19. Sweet looking build, probably not my first pick for a body to do Pro Mod but very interesting subject. I know.. Wheel Tubs can be a bit tricky with sheet plastic for that specific reason, getting it to hold a nice round curve... Virtually impossible, even tried sticking it in hot water... nada, zip, zero results. My best suggestion is POP Can! It is already curved and will continue to hold that shape, and in fact it does about a scale 40" Wheel Tub for 1:1. Just add the styrene part and glue in place with JB Weld and you are good to go! Here is mine to show you.
  20. Very cool update, I have been wondering when you would be updating this post to pull it back from the DEEP depths of past posts...! I am excited to see this one on the move again. Because that Nova was HOT, I can only imagine how this Vette is going to turn out. Rickard I do have a few questions about the body mods you made to the Vette, if you don't mind sharing... I was wondering if you would share the reason why you cut the peaks off the rear fenders? I know based on the rear split windows you raised the height of the fenders for the wheels to lower the back end down.. did you use all new styrene to mold new fenders or did you cut part of the original to bend it up? Then use styrene rod to fill in the gap? I have been racking my head trying to figure out what you did to create that higher rear fender. Thanks for the insight!
  21. Scott did an awesome job of building that body and he had it cast. He even has the tub/chassis for it, and was available to purchase at one time. The only reason I know, is he had it at the Heartland show last year.
  22. Very cool, will have to pick some of these up from you at the Heartland show this year. Really Like the quarter stick, pedal assembly and the handbrake PE sets. This way I will have plenty of stuff, when I go back to 1/24-1/25 to finish up my other projects.
