  1. I’ve gotten notice that a package was delivered at 7:30 am. It showed up later that day. Apparently the route guy marked it delivered before going out!
  2. Welcome Declan! If you really want to have fun, go to the US Virgin Islands! American left hand drive cars driven on the right side of the road! I got used to it on the ride from airport to hotel, but every so often when pulling out onto a road I’d still go for the wrong side. The one thing that was scary was the roundabouts in town.. I made sure I always followed a local into those!
  3. Ya notice all the magazines come at the same time? Like when the postal route carrier gets around to the 3rd class bin!
  4. The time you spend with your daughter today will be remembered over her lifetime! Time well invested. My daughter and I built models when she was the age of your daughter. I suspect building a car took second place to spending time with dad! She’s in her 30s now and those cars are on the top shelf in my display case!
  5. Very cool! It looks great
  6. Put it on eBay! People have been overbidding on boxes of junk!
  7. A funny thing.. the other day I was thinking about a first quarter progress report.... Per my original post, I did put the final details on the Jeepster, and the trailer with Junker Jeep. I did get the Red Chariot done per my post. That’s where we saw the squirrels ? Squirrel One is the long wheelbase Jeep. It is still on the bench but I haven’t concentrated on it. And once I sawed the back off the Jeep, I got sidetracked and built this little trailer! Then for Bring Out Your Dead I chose the Studebaker Gullwing over the other worthy subjects I had mentioned in my post. I am making progress, but missed the Q1 deadline, so I soldier on for Q2 completion. Somehow this one snuck into the queue.. all built from junker parts.. and finished! And I played with a sorta rescue for The Olde Kustom Kollection, ElCamino and trailer duo. Ah! Forgot the Valiant Speedster that’s on the bench! Another squirrel ? And I will claim extra credit for reworking and adding shelves into my two display cases! Guess I did get some stuff done!
  8. I got my second dose two weeks ago, so now I’m invincible! Going to see my granddaughters this weekend
  9. Aha! Fine Scale was the sponsor for the Acme Southern Nationals NNL last year.
  10. Ya wanna cry? My father gave away TWO Raleigh Choppers! I had brought them to the states when we moved from Germany. I was storing them because I knew they’d be worth something! The irony is that he never got rid of anything! When he died and I had to clear out his house I found things like a dozen old washer motors!
  11. My teenage model hoard also hit the trash. I left it all in my closet when I moved from home. The closet got infested with termites and my father just tossed all the contents! Today I save everything! I have a large box I call “The Shape Box”. If I whittle something away from a kit, it gets tossed in there. Later on I’ll be looking for a shape to start scratch building something and that bit of plastic becomes useful!
  12. Hey guys! It could be worse! ? If anyone has a parts car or the parts missing in the photos, I’d like to complete it for my shelf. It looks like a car Stuart Little would drive!
  13. Love the Rambler! I’d have a hard time not buying that if I saw it for sale locally!
  14. Hi Bob- Yes we haven’t met this year, holding a monthly Zoom instead. No plans right now about going back to physical meetings. We will have to see how the year goes. And with Covid cases up in NJ, it’s not looking good!
  15. Nice restoration! I like this build style too!
