  1. Very nice. Exemplifies the impact of a clean, simple build. Love the painted steel and dog dishes.
  2. A great basis for a custom, the '57 already looks pretty cool!
  3. Intense color! Love the lines of the Duster; yours is looking good!
  4. Still a fun kit that just looks right! Cool build.
  5. That engine is a looker, and MADE for that engine bay! Good stuff.
  6. BTW, will you be offering this body for sale? I see many of your creations on eBay.
  7. Never mind the problems, just keep the reviews coming! I'll tell you here, my vote is for the Javelin, 'cause you gotta love a Delta wing. The cool factor is off the scale, followed closely by the E.E. Lightning; that tail end reminds me of my uncle's Ithaca 16gage over/under shotgun, and that's a good thing. Very much a unique look. I sort of share your fondness for the underdogs, or the "also ran" guys, though not intentionally. That is, I can't help but be drawn to the design aspects of the plane, not technically, but aesthetically. I find myself thinking "that looks so RIGHT...", and then I learn the plane was a flop. Looking at you, F7U Cutlass. I mean, you inspired the '56 Chevy hood ornament, we had high hopes! I could do a service to aircraft manufacturers; the more I like it, the more assured they can be it's a bad idea. I don't care. I pick my kits solely based on the cool factor. I love my Monogram F-101s and F-100s. Rant over.
  8. Off to a great start!
  9. This is looking SO cool! Nice save happening here.
  10. Just a heads-up on these decals: the ones linked by Slusher are based on a (real) reproduction car someone built, and they are incorrect in their type style and other design issues The ones linked by roadhawg are more correct, but incomplete. No "Hooker Headers" for example. I point this out so that IF you are wanting to exactly copy the old Monogram kit's look, you get the details right! The best I've seen so far, though only in 1/24, can be found here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1236003365 Although available in many scales, he doesn't (yet?) offer1/25. Given the design, the 1/24 should work just fine on the 1/25 body. Good luck!
  11. Great job, I'd like it a lot if only the paint were a little more glossy...?
  12. Appears to be holding up pretty good, I like it! So many of these were scavenged to provide a better chassis for the AMT '69 Chevelle that you seldom see this kit built, which is a shame. Yours looks pretty darn cool, but I don't recall seeing those side stripe decals before. Were they from this kit?
  13. VERY nice, as to be expected! Agree 100% on the SnapFast kits from AMT; cool ( and varied ) subjects, beautiful engraving, accurate bodies, good fit and finish, all the best qualities for a curbside kit. The only improvement I would hope for would be a proper decal sheet with a few options. The pickup kits would go over big right now, especially, thinking of the extended cab Chevy, both fleet-side and dually, as well as those similar from Dodge.
  14. Fun stuff. Digging the Relic beast.
  15. Very nice! Cool and colorful racer, and a great looking body style. Your model is sharp!
  16. Very cool. Also, kudos on the "Stripe delete" option. Not a belly button car now.
  17. Great period piece, and SO neat and clean. Gorgeous jewel-tone color makes for a real beauty.
  18. Interesting custom, and the lines of the Olds work beautifully for the wagon. Cool stuff. IF you want to do one more factory correct, Olds wasn't onboard with the GM X-frame, and instead used a stronger full perimeter frame. The AMT '62 Catalina would be a great choice for the right frame/parts.
  19. Just beautiful!
  20. That's one rugged looking machine, and artfully done. Is that kit 1/35 or ...?

    Olds

Oh my, that's one clean and beautiful model! VERY well done, and that color is just tasty.
  22. Cool hot rod already! I like that Caddy engine, myself.
  23. Hadn't seen a black widow built as a black widow for some time! Nicely done, it looks right on.
  24. Great looking model; would look nice amongst anyone's collection. Well done.
