They were scrapped in Jan 1968. Chrysler tried to give as many as possible to museums, but few were interested. Import duties of a few hundred dollars a car had nothing to do with it, they were scrapped for liability reasons just like concept cars have been before and since. -MJS

It's unexpected, but the lines really work well. Because you asked for comments or suggestions, mine is to chop it. The side windows are too tall, and lowering the lid will really make the whole car flow. -MJS

Yep, I see the Mesa cops doing it all the time; no lights/siren, but getting there fast, (esp. in their new RWD Caprice units) often lights only for a quiet response. Never seen one do a code 3 for lunch in 40 years. -MJS

I'm not sure that kit has ever been successfully assembled. Those old Revells fought you every step of the way. -MJS

Ebay prices have a lot to do with who is looking for that kit, that week. If two or more bidders want it bad enough, there is no such thing as book value. Some kits consistently bid high, but even those have a bad week sometimes. And that's when I get them. I've bid up to $75 on a kit, lost out to higher bids a half dozen times on the same kit, and then won one for $30 or so the next time; and often a nicer one at that. It just depends who you are bidding against and how bad they want it. -MJS

Great idea! How's this? To be honest, I never thought of it. But it clearly works just the same. The trunk is pretty thick, there is at least 1.5 mm left at the ends. -MJS

Super nice build, David. While speaking of updates, the grille looks like a snap-kit/promo unit with the built-in chrome headlights. The glue kit versions of these '92-'95 AMT F-150s have separate clear headlight/corner lenses which look much better, and are a direct swap for the promo grille. Aside from that minor detail, it's a stunner. -MJS
