  9. You`ll be following my truck but it wont be rickety and you`ll be too far behind to have nails matter
  10. Very, very.....very cool.
  11. Booooooo, your a bum, get off the stage!!!
  12. Amen. I`ve only ever bought one kit for more than the usual retail price. It was a Revell Monroe Handler still sealed. Dont know if its highly collectible but it seems to be fairly rare as it took me forever to find one.......its also ultracool but that might be just my thinking because it was one of those supercool kits from my childhood and one of my grails. I didnt pay a boatload for it but I paid more than I usually would. Once I got it out of the shipping box, that ultra minty, never touched original wrapping lasted 3 seconds and I was elbows deep in Monroe Handler. I havent built it yet but it will happen and Im looking forward to it.
  13. The insane prices of "collectible" cars of any type can`t be blamed on anyone other than the buyers that are silly enough to pay ridiculous amounts, thus driving the prices through the roof. Its that whole "have to have it" mindset of people these days...the wealthy included. My friend is a truck sales manager at a Ford dealership and has been in the biz for over 20 years. I asked him why in the world trucks have become so expensive, his answer was so simple......"Because people are willing to pay that much."
  14. Very impressive Frank.
  15. Not all the sales are about unlimited funds or units sold for out of this world prices. 5 years ago at a local car show I met a guy with a beeeeeeaaaauuutiful 66 Chevelle convertible. It was an immaculate ground up resto-mod, silver blue with a white interior and top. A 383 stroker with a 700r4 behind it and Cragar SS/T 17 inch wheels with discs all the way around. He bought it at a B-J Auction( cant remember where) for $36,000. I didnt think that was a totally outrageous price for a car of that caliber and completely affordable by the average car buff. He and his wife happened to be in the area and went to the auction for fun. He fell in love with the car at first sight. He figured the pricing would be crazy on it and once the bidding started he realized it was within his reach and he would never be able to build it for that price. I`m a big do it yourselfer and enjoy building my own stuff on any type of vehicle, but the older I get and the more I watch auctions like this the more I think I`d rather spend the money and enjoy it today than spend the next pile of years building it.
  16. Cool idea Luna! I`m my current Utopia I would drive a 69 Boss 429 with a JohnKasse built all aluminum fuel injected 429 and 2013 Boss 302 handling department underneath....my Utopia is very loud and not very pc . But thats current....in the future I`d like something similar but with magnetic propulsion capabilities and warp drive. I`m up to my elbows with 2 CBP`s and a few 1;1 jobs for the year allready, but if I have time I may try to turn Utopia upside down. Until then I really look forward to watching the peacefull mayhem.
  17. I had never heard of this model until just now....very cool!! I really like the chop you put on it, it really adds to it. Look forward to the rest.
  18. I`ve made a lot of Fiberglass bodyparts for bikes and vehicles in the past and when I ventured into Carbon my research floored me as to how pricey it is even for raw Carbon Sheet. I found this which explains it all. In a nutshell.......... its a pita to make http://ca.gizmodo.com/5843276/why-is-carbon-fiber-so-expensive
  19. A buddy of mine put a set of BST Carbon wheels on his Ducati 999 a few years ago. Cost him $8000. They were amazingly light, even compared to Magnesium wheels and made an incredible handling bike that much better. It was an absolute dream to ride, but $8000!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Heres a little incentive for HNTR. I like the idea of the Lincoln. You may not do too well in the corners but you`ll have no problems passing anything on the straights......... http://www.dragzine.com/news/larry-larsons-six-second-street-car-driving-to-competing-in-nhra/
  21. Niko builds some pretty cool stuff, you`ve got big shoes to fill. Welcome
  22. My official entry, the AMT 53 Ford street machine. Not all of the kit is there which is no big deal cuz I only want the body, so its gonna be a huge kitbash...of what I wont say but I did leave a couple hints in the picture. Like I said earlier it`ll have 4 wheels and scare little kids..............and the only color will be black. Cuz nothing says ingognito like a black 53 Ford p/u
  23. Im fine with smack talk as long as yo momma dont mind.
  24. Looks like your catching on.
  25. Hahaha!! I was thinking the same thing as I was reading Lunajammers post. Nuttin but a buncha stinkin cheats in these parts!!!
