  1. Sorry to hear your loss. Been there myself. My wife and I got robbed a couple of months ago. It was our second time. They got more this time: 2 laptops, my Acer Aspire and her netbook 2 digital cameras, a GE and a Cannon Powershot a 30GB portable hard drive with backups of my music on it assorted jewelry including a 2ct. ruby ring my mom had given my wife. Insurance was amazing. We got a settlement for everything within 3 days. I'm much happier with the new laptop, but I'd a whole lot rather it had never happened either time.
  2. Ummmm Wow! Nice! I love it!
  3. Looks very nice! You said it was a snap kit? Looks good to me!
  4. Very nice job!!
  5. Way back when, it always seemed to be a 32 ford I was building. I haven't been back into cars long enough to have any duplicates yet, but I do have 2 Ferrarri Mythos kits in my stash.
  6. The Camaro's kind of a nice kit. I had one of those back in the day. The Palmer Charger is... interesting.....
  7. Got a full detail Jo-Han Chrysler turbine for about $30 including the shipping. Is that any good?
  8. I'm actually pretty decent in the kitchen. Cheesecakes are one of my specialties. I make a wicked sugar free/low carb cheesecake.
  9. Very nice job!! I'd be proud of that one myself.
  10. Sorry to see the damage to the roof on this one, but you did a great job salvaging it. Please keep posting on this one.
  11. Nice Job!! Beautiful paint job. I wish I could get mine to come out that glossy.
  12. You're doing a great job so far. I've been curious about these kits and I'm glad to see one being built.
  13. Hey, I wonder.... If I could find a tire that DID fit one of those if it would make a good donut spare for my 78 Monte Carlo?
  14. Ive seen people use small sets of ladders/stairs for train set detail as vents. that might work in this case. You'd need smaller scale ones for this.
  15. I love the work you're putting in on this kit. It's fantastic so far. I haven't been on this forum for long, but I'll continue to follow this one. And as far as subjects, I generally love anything on 4 wheels.
  16. Is it me, or does the nose of the Packard Hawk look like a Simpsons character? Got to see one at the Packard museum. They're as weird looking close up.
  17. Actually, I know some guys who bead. And I use a lot of stuff out of the beading aisle as well. Some of their wireworking tools are better than you can get anywhere else.
  18. Nice work so far. I like the changes with the bumpers. Never did like the chunky ones they stuck on these cars towards the end.
  19. Haven't gotten them yet, but I won 2 Tamiya Pininfarina Mythos kits last night for $16 plus shipping. came to about $28 total. Got plans for one of them.
  20. I picked up a gluebomb Fire Iron by Tom Daniel off Ebay some time ago. It was a pretty expensive kit normally, but I found a built one cheap. It was fun to pop apart and rebuild, and came out pretty good. I'll have to get it posted. There was a little damage when I got it, but nothing major.
  21. I've got 2 right now: A resin kit of an anime character and a 78 Monte Carlo. I got tired of painting the monte for a bit, so I switched to the resin kit.
  22. Question: could there have been a formula change with the Zero paints? You said it happened suddenly and it sounded like you had worked with this medium before. They could have changed the paint formulation or thinning ratio and it might have thrown off your work. Just a thought.
  23. Unfortunately, the one I've got that has this issue, the tires are solid. There's no hollow in them to fill wil silicone. I thought about trying to sand the tires but I'll end up losing the tread. I'm probably just going to have to order new tires.
