The chassis from these kits fits perfectly under almost every 64 an up Mopar kit from ANY manufacturer! JoHan, MPC kits fit these like a glove! They're worth the price just for parts!

Fenderwell Headers in Resin?
george 53 replied to CHEVY2MUCH's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Both those kits with the flip front ends are running Big Block Chevy engines, just so you know. -
It actually hurts to look at this! You sure did a "smash bang" job on it! It came out great.

'70 Road Runner Pieces
george 53 replied to dimaxion's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Bandit Resins 70 GTX body FALLS onto the interior AND chassis from the 70 Super Bee by AMT, ANY version. I have it and it fits like a glove! You can go ahead and buy from Kenny, I've gotten at least 4 or 5 bodies from him, He's GREAT to deal with! Oh and the 70 RR/GTX had wide, headrests, supported by two chrome posts comming from the top flat of the seat back. Bucket seats had built in headrests. -
Nope. It's the old Judy Lilly Pro Stock AMX. It can be built pret near CLOSE to stock, but you'll need to change the hood, (or fill the two holes in the hood)intake manifold and wheels, but it CAN be done. It'sa nice kit, still.

Praise God, Terry! Just a little more healin time an you can get back to the modelin bench,Brother! GLAD ta hear your ok an all went well! -
RE align the REAR taillight valance panel BEFORE you do any other bodywork. It is placed VERTICALLY on the kit, it is SUPPOSED to angle outward as it rises from the bumper so it tilts OUT at the TOP. It IS NOT a vertical panel. WHY they did NOT fix this is odd, but it is easily fixed. Other than that REAL flaw, it's a GREAT kit. I can live with the wheelwells shape, but that valance panel KILLS me! Yes, you COULD order an SS with a bench seat, and an Automatic shift on the column.

Most DEFINATELY NOT a Cadillac design. It's TOO ostentatious. Caddy's are only KINDA ostentatious.(LoL,did I spell it right?)

That was always a beautifully styled car! The gold just makes it look classier! Great job!

Vaugh Hart, Parts by Hart, sells them for BOTH the 69 Roadrunner by JoHan, AND the 69 GTX by AMT/Ertl, and they fit and look GREAT! -

Mustangs that never existed
george 53 replied to Custom Hearse's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
These are ALL private conversions. The Mustang has NEVER EVER been available as a factory built Station wagon. -
Switch the bodies to a 34 sedan and you could do Bonnie An Clydes death car useing those figures. Just a morbid thought.

Hendrix Mfg. -- Recommendations..?
george 53 replied to Ramfins59's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I've GOT alclad, but I've never used it! I HAVE sent my chrome out to "Little Motorcar Company" a while back and they did a GREAT job on it, and it was back in about 30 days. VERY nice plateing too, I must add. -
Bug on the board? Any body else having this issue

Rich, I've got their 53 Ford two dr post coupe conversion and it is VERY nice. The usual VERY small pinholes in the inner surface, but the outside is PERFECT! A little flash ,but thats expected from a resin kit. All in all, I'd say they were pretty nice castings. NOT Modelhaus or D.R.A.G. quality, but still a very nice starting point for any project. HTH. -
I don't built or care for converts, so i won't be buyin one. Too bad, caz I WOULD have sprung for a 68 coupe. I HAVE already done one useing the Modelhaus conversion kit. It fits like a glove!!!!
-
THAT is the crux of tha biskit, as Frank would say! Reputable casters do NOT settle for "Good Enough" I've seen GOOD REPUTABLE Casters throw stuff out that I would have taken. If it's not good enough for THEM it's NOT good enough to SELL. I've been doin resin for A LOOOOOONG time and there ARE WAY different opinions on whats"good enough". No, Casey, I'd say those were SECONDS, and ya SHOULD have gotten BOTH of them for free!. When I buy from Drag City, Ed would throw stuff in for FREE!!! THAT is a man who VALUES your patronage!!!!!!

Whoever PS the red mustruck did a lousey job. Then again, that outta kilter rear wheel looks normal for what it is. -
This turbonique engine is cast by muh Cuzzin Al overt Ma's Resins! He has ALL sortsa cool little things that'r REALLY neat! Check Cuzzin Al out, you WON'T be dissapointed! "Ma's Resins" is a GRADE A caster!!!!

Those didn't actually have FUNCTIONING vent windows. They DIDN'T move. The main door glass went up and down, but that's all. The mirror was mounted to the door AND foreward window mount.
