  1. Who knows, Lee, maybe Thomas has a point, We used to joke about the lil hawiian guy who had to row them over. Michigan IS farther east than Cali, so maybe THATS the reason. After 4 now an it still hasn't come. Ok, now MAYBE tomorrow we'll get 'em.
  2. Well, to each his own. I preffer to get them on time, by their monthly date at least. Maybe it'll come today.
  3. These cars came with a 265 c.i. engine SOME might have had 305's but they NEVER came with ANYTHING larger. They COULDN'T beat a 350 ANYTHING. Sorry, but thats just the truth. Still a GREAT lookin body style though.
  4. By taklen off the sidemoulding you got rid of the Bent banana look! Your trim looks MUCH nicer! Gonna be a looker when she's done!!! Great job so far!
  5. I found an got my Vintage Aircraft Series P-47 in 24th scale!!! Got it for only 202 bucks!!(the one RIGHT after mine sold for OVER 400 bucks!!!!!) I'mma HAPPY lil camper NOW!!!!!! Got ALL the 24th scale aircraft I've been lookin for, FINALLY!!!!!!
  6. I don't know. I'm honestly debateing IF I WANT to renew my sub. After all these years of NEVER getting it on time, save maybe ONCE or TWICE since it came out, I'm not sure if it wouldn't just be easier to get it at the bookstore. At least I'd get it BEFORE the SO CALLED home delivery . It has REALLY tried my patience and loyalty. Don't really know IF I'll re up. May be easier and MORE TIMELY if I just GO OUT and buy it. The "Never on time" stuff s REALLY pushing my loyalty now, AND it's gotten REALLY old to hear the old "It's worth the wait" excuse. All my OTHER magazines come on time, why is MCM so late, aren't we subscribers WORTH the effort to get it out ON TIME????. Almost like the magazines NOT as important as the website. I honestly don't get it. It's just a shame nobody cares about the subscribers. At least that wat it looks like to me, and I've subscribed to MCM from JUMP!
  7. Gotta chime in, STAY AWAY FROM TKM!!! You are THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY!!! You might as well burn it as to spend it on ANY TKM ANYTHING!!!! Just BAD NEWS all around!!!! Stay AWAY!!!!!!
  8. Chuck, I've seen that blob BEFORE it's been bulit and I gotta give ya gredit for tryin to build a full detailed kit from it. Honestly, I don't think Jimmy EVER intended it to be MORE than just a curbside, the insides of that thing look slush cast. VERY uneven thickness throughout and really alotta work to bring it to a workable state. I commend you on your efforts. I KNOW it took ALOTTA work to get it to THAT stage! DON'T stop now, PULEEEEZE!!!!!
  9. Very nicely done Ali! I like the burnout shot. Had you doin it outside i think it woulda looked pretty convincing! Nice build!
  10. They coulda just converted a wagon for ALOT less hassle and money. But, as was said, 'To each his own". Maybe he just wanted to be the only kid on the block with one....
  11. No, Dan. The Monogram "Phantom P-51" is 1/32nd scale. The Airfix and Trumpter kits are 24 th scale.
  12. VERY nicely done Piero, VERY nice! you sure got the effect you were goin for, at least to ME, you did! It came out GREAT!
  13. I'mma 70/71 Cuda fool, I have two each of the MPC 70/71 Cuda's but I'll definately get two or three of these too! I used the chassis to the 68/70 B bodies and with some very slight shortening of the chassis and it fits like a glove! I'm hopeing Revell did this for me with it's modern molding techniques so I don't hafta keep stealin the chassis from the Roadrunners! Gonna get a few anyways probably!
  14. Revell probably does the nicest BBC. Outwardly, there is NO difference between the engine blocks, The displacement is determined by it's bore and stroke, NOT it's physical size. From the outside, they ALL look the same, from 366 Cu in (Truck Engine ONLY) to the 454 LS-6.
  15. Guy's, I've seen and held this bad boy in my hands, and let me tell yaz, IT IS NICE!!!! It's molded in their fine white plastic-like resin, and it comes with the chassis, dash, grille, seats engine doghouse, sterring wheel an bumpers. It is a BEAUTIFUL casting! Well up to their HIGH STANDARDS!
  16. THANK you, Jeff! I found it and have got one on the bay to watch!
  17. OWOSSO???? Holy shoots, he's movein even FARTHER away? Oh well, guess we'll be mail order only now. He IS a great guy ta deal with though!
  18. BEAUTIFUL car, BEAUTFUL color! I LOVE the old Eldorado's. I've had two of them,an 85 and a 2001, VERY nice cars!
  19. Bill, NOT tryin to start NUTHIN here, but, hey some guys REALLY enjoy doin it like this. Theres a guy in my club who's been doin a Truimph Spitfire just like that. He's useing sheetstock, tubeing and ALOT of imagineering to get him a nonexistant kit. I've done a few conversions in my time, but NEVER did one as a TOTALLY HAND BUILT peice, but it's lookin pretty good to me. A buck fifty is ALOT of money to spend on somehing he may want to change, and THAT is BEFORE shipping. I personally comment you Ken, for even attempting it! You GO, Bro!
  20. They look like the flares from Farrah's Foxy Vette.
  21. Whats in his upraised hand? we can't see it, and I don't ever remember seein this as a Polar lights kit. Is it an old Aurora repop?
  22. Tom, I got a E-Mail sale notice from Squadron Shop Hobbies, They had the Trumpeter 65 Falcon Ranchero kit for only 19 bucks ON SALE thru the E-Mail notice only. So I bought it. Next time I got ANOTHER sale E-Mail, it was in sale, BUT NOT the SPECIAL e-Mail sale, and it was now 54 from 59 bucs! How can THAT be a sale when I just got it for 19????? ANYWAYS, if they sold it at 19 bucks, I doubt VERY MUCH that the took a loss. So it makes ya wonder what the mark up PER kit really is? I don't think it's even close to cheating to use a coupon THEY provide for you.
  23. No problem Rod. My autoshop teacher at Ecorse High School's name was Leonard Armstrong. Mr. Armstrongs brother was a Dr. who enjoyed raceing. In 1971 whenI was in the 12 gr, Dr. Armstong aquired TWO 917 Porsche's and had them sent over from Germany. One was all white with gold scallops and the other was a weird candy green with gold scallops, supposedly run at Le Mans. Mr Armstrong, the teacher, asked mysel and my classmate to dissassemble and check the bearings and axles for stress cracks and trueness. It was a big job, but with the service manuals and his guidance we did it. That's when he took us out at Lime Rock I believe, it was in Ohio, and we got to ride in it, to MAKE SURE we had done it right. I'm glad we HAD!
