  1. Dam! It's just a model, but it STILL hurts ta see a beautiful car all messed up!!! GREAT job!
  2. Wat if you just cut out the headlight covers, replace them with clear sheet and let the headlights shine thru them. It would keep the nose clean aerodynamically.
  3. My cousin had a 69 383 Super Bee with the twin hoodscoops and cold air. It had a single four bbl on it too. This is the only second time i've seen that/this set-up. Evidently it was a rather rare option on single carbed cars. Whooda thunk? I think they looked great!
  4. Mike, The Batcave is justa barrel of monkeys!
  5. What a beautiful build! I have an original MPC 68 Coronet R/T that I have been offered silly prices for. You can get 3 or 4 of those NICELY cast resin kits for what one of these plastic kits is selling for. And they're JUST as nice as the original kits. You showed that what it's made from makes no difference in YOUR final result! VERY nicely done.
  6. So how do we getta hold of yer ol creepy self??? Oh Thanks,Paul!

    71 Duster

GREAT save,Lee! Looks GREAT! Too bad mopar never putta Hemi in that rascal!
  8. Virge, I got at least 50 of them rascals, and i complained about the prices i paid for them new, theres no way i'd let 'em go, they're just TOO nice. I honestly liked them better than my Franklin Mint cars. Is the Franklin Mint gone too now?
  9. Guys, I'm wondering if they are really gone. I just saw in the latest Hemmings Muscle car mag that there's a mustang you can order. ARE they still in buisness or wat? I mean, Ok they must be doin something, but are they still someone we can trust to get an order? Kinda leery about trying them out IF they are new and re organized, supposedly. Any body got the real poop on these NEW guys?
  10. THAT'S how the ladies got in. Lord forbid the lift heir dresses to get in the front. I've seen one like this at Henry Ford Museum.
  11. Curt, did you build the cover model? Or didja just build yours like that? Either way, it looks GREAT!
  12. an STAY OFF his lawn!!!!!!
  13. There's one on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, and I THINK theres one downtown at the Detroit Historical Museum too. Don't know if they run, but I THINK the one at the Henry Ford Museum does.
  14. The 72 Gran Torino was probably THE most prettiest car to EVER come out of Fords styling studios (the 70 mustang is the next) and you did it GREAT justice! Your Torino looks JUST as nice as the REAL ones! Nice color combo too. You did an EXCELLENT job on a BEAUTIFUL car!
  15. Man, AGAIN you Euro guys got it down! I've seen on U-tube how cool the car shows are over there, and you sure ain't hurtin for fine machinery! Your Chevelle came out GREAT! Love the color mix and design.REALLY NICE job!
  16. Art used to be one of THE BEST resin casters there were. He gave it up due to health problems, but hey, that's OK too, cas he's HERE now, and we ALL get the benefit of his many years of knowledge and expirience! Thanks,Art.
  17. They once drove all around here. You could see them Downtown or on the freeway. Then after the trial period, of I THINK a year, they were all scrapped out. Jay Leno and another guy in cali own one each and some dude in Arizona i think has the third one. They ALL run.
  18. Saw your age, Jase, and you doin GREAT for a 14 yr old! Just keep it up and you'll be someone to contend with at the shows! GREAT job of detailin the Engine/engine compartment! GREAT color on the Charger.( My Charger was green too, before it was stolen and painted black, then bought by me.GREAT color)
  19. If Modelhaus is out of reach, MCW is the next BEST casting! The price is REALISTIC and the quality is JUST as good as Modelhaus. Don't go with R&R or Flintstone unless your GOOD/EXPIERIENCED at working with resin. NOT that they AREN'T good, but for the money, MCW's casting are VERY nice and resonably priced! I have quite a few MCW castings, all VERY nicely done.
  20. Hard ta cast parts when your drivein coast ta coast. Talked to Al today, he was drivein home from Toledo, after commin from Chicago! He IS a busy guy and DOES have a family to take care of. I don't think it took a WHOLE year ta get parts but theres a reason for it if it did. I'll order from him again inna heartbeat if he has something I need, without hesitation.
  21. As far back as i can remember Pyro made "Z" grade models. How were they able to stay in buisness so long with such SUB grade model kits? I've never seen one build even CLOSE to what it was SUPPOSED to look like!
  22. THANK YOU Gregg!! i have the chopped RMR 41, BEAUTIFULLY done by our own Steve Zimmerman, and THIS is just the perfect companion to it!
  23. The chassis LOOKS like it's from the 65 Chevelle or the 66 Chevelle. It could also be the 66 GTO chassis. They were all perimeter frames. It IS one cool project though!
  24. It looks like Popeyes car when Olive was the princess with the glass shoe. i wonder if there's a can of Spinach hidein in there somewheres?????
