I customized two of these cars. Both have 56 Packard tail lights on them. Other than that, they are really different from each other. Here are a couple pics of each fer ya. This chopped top one is not finished on purpose. I wanted it to look like someone is working on it while being driven all the time. I hope you like them and helps you out. Dan

Thanks a lot guys for all the kind words. This was a fun build. This is also the first time that I painted three colors on the body, and they all are Testors enamels to boot. Dan

Thanks Bill. I got er done tonight. Last night I painted the hood and tonight I painted the bottom of the hood and then I installed it all. I am really pleased with how this turned out. Here are some pics of the finished car. Hope ya like it. This was fun to build and I'm looking forward to building the 68 GTO Tin Indian when the model gets here. It is the Revell 1/24th kit and I wish that it was the MPC 1/25th kit, but I have to work with what I can get. So, stay tuned for the 68 GTO. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

Thanks Jake. I'm almost finished with it. I need to install the door handels and front parking lights. I also have to repaint the hood. I decided to open the vents on the hood and so I have to repaint it. Here are some pics of how she looks now. I am very pleased with the decals that I got from Woopiekat decals for this car. No problems puting them on and they laid down without using any solution. I thank Alan from Woopiekat decals. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

Thanks Charlie. I ran into a snag last night at the hobby store. I was installing the BMF and when I trimmed the execess and removed it, it pulled up some of the paint in spots around the windows. This is the very first time that this has happened. I'm going to try and touch up the paint after I get finished with the BMF. Man, was I bummed. I'll post some pics later. Dan

Thanks Stan. It might be a few days before I can get back to this build. I have some work to do for my wife. Her sister passed away in Jan and we have to get everything in order and there's a lot of work to do. But, I will get back to this fer sure. I want to get it done for our clubs contest in March. Dan

Thanks Dave. I have no new updates yet. Life is getting in the way. I hope to have some pics up soon though, so stay tuned. Dan

Yes it is a decal on the front fenders. AMT made a model of the 68 Firebird. I'm not sure if AMT helped to sponser the Tin Indians or not. Dan

Thanks a lot fellas. The interior just looks gray for some reason in the picture. It is flat Black. I sprayed Testors bottle paint thru an air brush. I can't wait to get the decals on it also. I'm gettin kinda ancious but I am restraining myself cause I don't want to miss this up. I'm going to wait a few days so the paint really dries before I put the decals on. I'm going to put the rest of the interior together and install the BMF on the trim. Dan

Well, after a long hiatis I finally got a small update. Not much but I had to repaint the White, Gold and Green because every time I masked it off to paint and removed the tape, it pulled some of the other color off. Bummer. Well, I'm done painting it now and here are some pics fer ya. Here is a pic of the chassis, engine and part of the interior. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

I mixed Emerald green and gold from testors 1/4 oz bottles. Most of the color is emerald green with a little gold mixed in. Then, I sprayed that over the gold base. Dan P.S. I have a bad habbit of not writing down how much paint I mix together when I mix them to come up with the final color formula.

Thanks Alan. I ordered those decals from you for this build. I'm really happy with the decals. If I can find a 68 GTO, I'll be ordering another set for that build. Dan P.S. Thanks for the quick turn around on the decals. I really appreciated that. :)

Well, I bit the bullet and changed the gold to white. It was brought to my attention that the color should be white and after looking at the pictures that I have (3) I kinda think that white is the color. If not, I'll change back, but as of now it's white and I'm working on removing some of the white to have a gold stripe down the top of the fenders and doors. I think that's what's in the pictures that I have. Anyway, here are some pics fer ya of how she looks tonight. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
