I was shocked when I found the 63 Nova wagon, 64 Galaxie, 65 & 68 GTO Craftsman kits at my WalMart. I did not buy the Galaxie, because I bought the California Drag Combo for the Trailer & Galaxie. I did get 3 each of the 65 GTO & 63 Nova Wagon, but only 2 of the 68 GTO. I got 2 of the 68 Coronet convert. there too. I wish they had added new kits this year, but sales in my store must have been too soft. I wanted to see the 71 Demon, as well as the Hardtop of the 68 Coronet. All they have left are clearanced NO, there are no more GTO's left!!

Hi all, I have access to an unbuilt sealed bag Aurora 34 For coupe kit and wonder if it is worth buying The kit is a 'Young Model Builders selection in a Mailing carton so ALL parts, etc are in one clear bag. I have looked at this kit in the shop since I first walked in. It is still there. Many thanks. Dan.

Did LAPD actually use that Mechanical siren by then?? I do know they used the Mercury then as we do see a few on Adam-12. But we also see the 70 Coronet, and LAPD did not use that one. Dragnet showed Fullsize Fords or Dodge Coronets for the 4 years they ran. In fact, Friday & Gannon used a '67 Ford Custom as the Homicide 'Call Car' when the Motor Officer was shot I don't think there was any reason they kept the 69 Belvedere for the third season other than it being ready Remember, They did only go with a Single year for a car twice in the 7 seasons. First year only for the 68 Belvedere, and Fourth year for the 71 Satellite. The Matador was used for the 5th, 6th and 7th seasons, while the 67 was used in the Pilot only but seen in ONE scene later during the first season (That likely being filmed FOR the pilot but only used later--Look who the Culprits are!!) I LOVE adam-12, and Know Everything about those Cruisers!! Only the 67 Plymouth and the Matador ever show the Badges & Script of the car--(look at how much silver Duct tape you see on other cars during the series. Even a Criss-Craft Boat has its name covered in one episode

How about a 66-72 Belvedere/Satellite 4dr?? (or even Wagon) LAPD and other city agencies used that body more that the Fury or Monaco Adam-12 used the 66 to 69 Belvedere and 71/2 Satellites since they were correct LAPD cruisers

I have another issue of the Modern Tool 57 Bel Air with the Pro-Shop photo-etched and Rubber parts trees. I got it on Clearance at Hobby Lobby, The Chevrolet 100Th Anniversary Tin collectors box edition. Back when this kit first came out, I was buying the Standard issue, Pro-Shop, & Coca-Cola issues for Only $3.33 each at Tots-R-Us!! I passed on the street machine as "Not My Thing/Not interested"

Comparison of Yodel and MPC Dodge Monacos
Edsel-Dan replied to ABC Auto Industry's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Some of the Yodel kits had Both grills as well as both roof light assemblies. Sadly my original issue LAPD only had the Dodge grill, though both sets of taillights. it only had the base and Siren section of the twinsonic lightbar. I do wish these kits would be reissued as most start at $80.oo now. One bad part was the front bench seat does not have a back. I made one out of sheet stock. Also, the twin rotator lightbar is a decent coy of the Visabeam bar from the old Jo-Han 68 Fury kit, though the rotator bases are molded with the lightbar while the mounting legs are separate. this light rack assembly never got used on an LAPD car thar I've seen. I now have a second Yodel kit, the NY/NJ Port Authority, But it too is a Dodge, and has the twin rotator lightbar only. I remember Pocmoke Police having that Light bar in the 70's, and recall the siren speaker being Fiberglass Not metal It was dark gray or black. Anyone ever see one chome outside of a kit piece?? -
A question for Mr. Goldman - Re Round 2
Edsel-Dan replied to iwantmodels's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The Javelin was Jo-Han's so will Never be seen again. Remember, AMT offered Many Jo-Han kits from the 66/7 Toronado to the Javelin. I had 3 of the Mark Donahue/Penske AMX-Javelin kit and have 2 of the J-H and 1 AMT boxed 70 Toronado. Yes I would love to see AMT reverse engineer that Javelin kit, But that is Unlikely at best -
I've tried to download this clip from youtube to watch later at home, but can't get winX to complete the analysis. Have they encrypted the videos again blocking downloads?? When did theyre-issue the 10speed bicycle??

History of MPC's Rounded Line Trucks
Edsel-Dan replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I was told Moebius may not have the license to do the Chevy's. Hoping that is not true. I have copies of ALL the 67-72 Chevy's except the 'Rolling Thunder' stepside. I do have the first with the trail bike, and the black version, but Not Rolling Thunder. Also need parts to have at least ONE of the GMC Sierra Grande!! -

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
Edsel-Dan replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I am not sure if Atlantis got the Renwal Military Wrecker kit tooling. I have the Most recent SSP issue and a sticker label on the deck piece says it was made in Poland! If that is the case, I would say Revell--Germany still owns that one This was 11 years ago, so..... Yes I would love to see that Civillian version offered again -

Tesytor's offered the SC/Rambler in the HSO series too But I am Not sure witch of those still exist That is why I only listed the 4 originally announced by the NEW IMC as still existing tools. It would be nice if the others you list ARE still viable/available, but.........
