  1. I'll always equate the SU-15 with the downing of the Korean airliner.
  2. My first car was a 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door sedan with 6 cylinder and Powerglide. The car was white with a bronze interior. It couldn't peel out on ice, but it made it over the Rockies several times.
  3. On the real truck one side of the trim is wider than the other. I don't remember if the inner or outer run is wider. I used differently sized rod, but the effect didn't really show up in the finished product. Anyway, I think I used .020 and .015 rod. It may have been .015 and .010, but I don't think so. The caps are round stock inserted into a drilled out hole with a little scrap of plastic for the grip.
  4. The bed is a resin unit from M.A.D., and the trim is just two pieces of strip styrene laid side-by-side. I use circular rods because they take a radius better. When I'm done applying them, I'll run a sanding stick over them to flatten the tube a bit. I'm told the slight undercut helps when foiling.
  5. I'm still raising funds to have the 98 cast, and the Cougar is in the hands of the person who's going to have it cast, neither is available yet.
  6. What a great build (as usual)! How does one stay in the loop for the resin interiors. I'd prefer not to miss out on them.
  7. I got mine on eBay, a few at a time. The prices range from good to ridiculous. If you have patience, you'll eventually get all you need: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194092852008?hash=item2d30d5e328:g:7eUAAOSwVuRgdJzh https://www.ebay.com/itm/284276061721?hash=item42302c7619:g:fPkAAOSwDbJgWlqA Four is enough for most stations, although I have made eight for my '70s station. I scratchbuild a little at a time, as I feel like it. All the items in the picture are scratch. Good luck with your station, I hope this helps!
  8. Another option:
  9. Did the Bullitt Mustang have headers? I didn't know that.
  10. The Trailways bus would have to be 19 1/4 inches long to be 1/25. It's actually about 18 inches long. I have a Scenicruiser plastic bus about the same size as this Trailways bus. They don't look too bad with 1/25 scale surroundings, but they are a tad undersized, especially the width.
  11. I've been using that very glue for years now.
  12. Neat idea...You could also build a van truck if you wanted. Again, you have a neat idea, hope to see it built here.
  13. The purists must be comparing the 1971 style Mustang to the original Mustang. For the record, a 1971 Mustang was only 1.5 inches longer, 1 inch taller, and slightly narrower than a 1971 Camaro. I have never heard of the 1971 Camaro being called too large. Sounds like Ford got the size about right - for 1971, at least.
  14. Me, too.
  15. My favorites are cars made from parts of other cars: I do need to work on my photography.
  16. Great thread. My sons have no interest in the hobby.
  17. Is there a flyer or anything on this show? I'd like to know more about it.
  18. I'm not selling mine. I like it too much!
  19. Shows what I know about racing, I guess....
  20. Isn't this a '72? I thought the '73 had the energy absorbing front bumper(?)
  21. I'm not a caster, I just may be confused, but I thought rubber was gassed in a vacuum pot, and as you said, resin is pressurized.
  22. I guess it's the people who treat you well you have to focus on.
  23. Thank you. I like your full name as listed under your avatar...ain't it the truth!
