  1. They're just an old pair that's been lying around forever. The jaws on them are undamaged. I have had piano wire damage other tools, as you have mentioned. There is clearly some risk to the cutting tool.
  2. I also use the piano wire. I can cut it with dykes, but it's not easy.
  3. ELO was my go-to until one of the bodies I was stripping crumbled away. It worked fine 'til then.
  4. Hey! My Ford Explorer found it's way into the pics. That was a fun show.

  6. This is my favorite: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313446273276?hash=item48fada90fc:g:q9gAAMXQfvlSm6XU Looks really nice. I expect others will verify this choice.
  7. Items have arrived just as ordered. The label on the box verifies the claimed shipping date, so Papyhobby was truthful with me. It took six weeks for the package to navigate the postal system, apparently. Thus ends this saga.
  8. I had a '70 Torino Brougham. A bulletproof car, but not nearly the eye candy of yours. I always thought the dash design was kind of stodgy, but I love the cars as a whole. Having fun watching your progress.
  9. I just received an E-mail from Papyhobby assuring me the items have been shipped and should arrive any day now...cool!
  10. Well, it's been 2 months so far...Won't hurt to give it more time! Thanks for the info!
  11. That may be true, but I prioritize shows based on the number of vendors. I've pretty much given up on contests. I just go to look and buy.
  12. Thanks! I appreciate the reply. I'll keep waiting.
  13. I bought some parts for my bulldozer kit from them on May 2. I don't mind waiting, but I have been unable to get responses when I ask for the status of my order. I understand they're from Ontario, Canada(?). Can anyone tell me if this is normal? What was your experience?
  14. Was limelight green a '69- only color? Nicely done truck!
  15. Everything I've ever built with wheels roll, from airliners to cars to a 1/25 scale lawn mower. I can't give you a good reason why I do it, it's just how I...er...roll.
  16. I wonder what happened to the hydrogen powered concept?
  17. Nice airliners! I've only got two, I hope to do some more someday...You've got a nice collection of cool airliners, hard to pick a favorite!
  18. '70s 4-door sedans. Fury, Galaxie, Impala, it doesn't matter. It's just a need that's never been filled. Police car guys, mainstreamers, derby car builders, etc. would love them.
  19. I use rod whenever possible as well because it's much easier to get it to go around curves, especially tight ones. After application, I sand it down to a flatter shape as well. The slight undercut after gluing also helps when it's time to foil.
  20. Great job on the model by Roger... Not so great job by JoHan....
  21. I'm going to offer two scenarios, and I would be curious to hear how you feel about them...this relates to model car contests. 1) Extra consideration (and points) are given to an entry if the builder is young, disabled, etc. 2) The same builder has the best models in multiple classes, and is given the multiple awards. Or, he isn't awarded all the classes because it is desired to "spread the wealth".
