Beautiful looking paint colors and finishes. The body work is very subtle but give the body a much newer look. The chassis and engine changes as well as the interior look great as well.

I remember trying to build these many years ago. You are right about the detailed bodies, but as a very young builder at the time keeping all the body panels lined up until the glue set was a challenge.

Like the body and interior colors. Many times, GM as well as others would use a material much like a very thin vinyl blanket with a design of some sort to cover the trunks metal interior floor. Probably more to protect objects in the trunk from rolling around and prevent the metal from getting scratched and starting to rust. Your pattern looks very much like the real thing.

Far too many Ford owners would use a tire tool inserted into the rear leaf spring shackles and push the spring end down and the shackle would "flip" so that they were pointed down instead of up. This would raise the rear suspension just enough to give you about a two-inch lift and could also offset any sagging of the rear leaf springs. Don't ask me how I know, just know it did work and was not an uncommon thing to do. As for the Ford Y-Block engine. Properly maintained and modified in the same manner as a small block Chevy provided very similar results and would catch more than a few off guard if they thought the Ford would be easy prey.

Nice looking vinyl roof treatment. Like the color and it goes well with the black roof and trim.

The body changes give the Corvair the look of an Exotic Car.

I have been around long enough to remember bumper stickers that said, "Stamp out low performance drivers, not high-performance cars". Looks like things haven't changed much in the meantime.

I agree that boat looks interesting. Please post you build on that one when the time comes.

The reason I mentioned the thermostat and timer is that when I bought mine a little over 100 years ago, they were mostly designed for drying food stuff and fruit. So far, I have managed to partially melt the interior parts from an old AMT '57 Chevy kit and a few other assorted parts. When I do use it now, I have to sit by the dehydrator whenever I do use it just to make sure it doesn't melt whatever I have in there. I guess I could buy a new one with all the features, but that would cut into my model funds.

Great looking build. The design looks fresh even today, you can only imagine how futuristic it must have looked when new.

Like the Pro-Street vibe and the settle color even with the heavy metallic finish.

Great looking T-Bucket. Like the paint & decal treatment on the body.

Like the custom grill treatment. Your roof removal and changes to the rear deck area look good.

Wheel color could go either way. While the DeLuxe models which this kit represents may have had body-colored wheels, I think the base models were black. With the wide whites the black colored wheels would offer more of a contrast than having the wheels white to match the body.

Try and find one with a thermostat to adjust the heat and a timer if possible.

Like this reissue of the Bel Air. I'm not head over heels about the plus size wheel design, but like that you at least have the option. Nice to have the suspension options and adding the factory Fuel Injection from the older Black Widow kit is a big bonus. One of the great things about the '55 - '56 - '57 Chevrolet kits from Revell is the ability to mix and match parts between the different year kits and body styles. Build possibilities are almost limitless.

Alway enjoy looking at the way you weather your builds. This one look like a well-used work truck. Different colored tailgates are sort of a sign of a truck that is earning it's living the hard way.

Great looking paint finish, and the two-tone colors look good together. The interior colors look great as well, like the way the colors work together. Good engine detailing. Hard to change the overall look of a '40 Ford without goofing it up somehow, not the case here as thew changes seem to look good for a Street Rod.

The finish looks good, just display it as far away from the GTO as possible.
