  1. Great looking build. The design looks fresh even today, you can only imagine how futuristic it must have looked when new.
  2. Like the Pro-Street vibe and the settle color even with the heavy metallic finish.
  3. Great looking T-Bucket. Like the paint & decal treatment on the body.
  4. Like the custom grill treatment. Your roof removal and changes to the rear deck area look good.
  5. Wheel color could go either way. While the DeLuxe models which this kit represents may have had body-colored wheels, I think the base models were black. With the wide whites the black colored wheels would offer more of a contrast than having the wheels white to match the body.
  6. Try and find one with a thermostat to adjust the heat and a timer if possible.
  7. Like this reissue of the Bel Air. I'm not head over heels about the plus size wheel design, but like that you at least have the option. Nice to have the suspension options and adding the factory Fuel Injection from the older Black Widow kit is a big bonus. One of the great things about the '55 - '56 - '57 Chevrolet kits from Revell is the ability to mix and match parts between the different year kits and body styles. Build possibilities are almost limitless.
  8. Great looking Muscle Truck. Like the smooth red paint and clean looking body trim.
  9. Alway enjoy looking at the way you weather your builds. This one look like a well-used work truck. Different colored tailgates are sort of a sign of a truck that is earning it's living the hard way.
  10. Great looking paint work and like the blue interior. Has sort of a sinister look about it.
  11. Great looking paint finish, and the two-tone colors look good together. The interior colors look great as well, like the way the colors work together. Good engine detailing. Hard to change the overall look of a '40 Ford without goofing it up somehow, not the case here as thew changes seem to look good for a Street Rod.
  12. A Track Hawk before Jeep thought of it.
  13. The finish looks good, just display it as far away from the GTO as possible.
  14. Looks like there was as good a show in the parking lot.
  15. I do miss the weather there sometimes. The lizards used to crawl up the outside of the screen door and just would drive our Lab nuts.
  16. I agree with you, this does look better in the black livery instead of the Gulf Oil colors.
  17. Great looking paint work and finish. Like the engine detailing. Looks better than their box art.
  18. Beautiful looking save. The engine detailing looks great. Like the shade of Blue and the wheels & tires.
  19. There were a lot of great looking colors that GM used on their cars from this era. The Iris Mist/Evening Orchid is a personal favorite of my own, but there are so many to choose from. You can always stray into a custom color that isn't an OEM as well.
  20. This whole problem with Testor's Paint goes back for several years and has been discussed her as well by many. I have never had issues with the product, in fact have been very pleased even using just the spray cans for my builds. The issue has to do with the packaging, or the spray cans themselves. I'm not an expert in this area, but a person I used to work with was previously one of the quality people that worked for a well-known company selling canned foods. Long before the issues with Testors he and I were talking about some of the issues he had encountered with the canning process at his former employer. Realizing that these are two very different types of products it is hard to think that they are somehow related. One thing that he shared with me and one of the reasons he had left that company was that they made changes in the way the containers were made and cutting the cost of production. They started experiencing can failures, I.E. leaking. They wouldn't believe him and the others in his department that the changes were causing the problems, and even suggested it was a staff issue instead of a product issue. He and others left, and the company later figured out that their design changes were the problem not the staff. I also slept at whatever hotel chain used to make you smarter if you had stayed there.
  21. Beautiful looking body and paint work. Always liked the fastback body styles of the late '40's and early '50's.
  22. Beautiful looking paint finishes and trim. Getting the front fenders and grill mounted tightly like this can be a challenge. Great looking "wood graining" on the dash.
  23. Beautiful looking paint work and the two-tone color combination. Clean detailing on the engine and chassis. Alway nice to see an original looking build done with all the trim done correctly.
  24. Even with all of the problems you encountered, the finished model looks great. The paint finish looks nice and smooth, and the under-hood area is detailed cleanly.
  25. Great looking color combination and finish. Like the engine room detailing. All of these builds look great together.
