  1. Like seeing these built. Great looking finishes. Wish more boat kits could be offered.
  2. The color really compliments the body style and has a smooth finish. Like the clean trim.
  3. Beautiful looking paint finish and color. Like the interior and engine detailing.
  4. Great looking convertible. Good engine and interior detailing. These always look sinister in black.
  5. I use a combination of storage options for spare parts. I have several boxes that models came in and have set some aside for different types of parts. Rathor than putting everything in one big box I have found for myself that it is easier to find something if the types of parts are segregated in different boxes. I.E. interior parts in one box and body parts in another. I do the same with left over engines which are broken down even further. I have a small plastic storge cabinet with drawers where I have exhaust, manifolds, carbs. and engine accessories broken down in their own drawers. This seems to make it easier to locate a part when needed. I also use an additional storage cabinet for wheels, by type as well as tires by type. Whenever I finish a build, I sort and put away any extra leftover parts in the appropriate storage boxes.
  6. Like the tire rack idea.
  7. I'm also a great fan of his show. Tell him I said hi. He has no idea who I am but tell him another fan said hi anyway.
  8. Not to be a "Debbie Downer", but with everything in reruns you can remember most of the dialog watching anything on TV anymore.
  9. Great looking paint finish and color. Clean looking trim and windows.
  10. Beautiful looking tribute to your father and his '57's.
  11. Beautiful looking Charger. The detailing to look like your brother-in-laws Charger if dead on. This should put you in the number one brother-in-law category. Great looking detailing throughout this build.
  12. You will never guess what I saw at a local car show this weekend. A couple of pictures for reference.
  13. Very bright blue color and great finish. Like the wide white walls. Trim is all cleanly done.
  14. Great looking build. Like the color and the stance. I agree, these are really nice kits.
  15. Beautiful looking paint finish and colors. This was one of the most striking color combinations at the time. Like the clean looking chrome trim.
  16. Beautiful looking modern take on this '32, but you still just think "Gangster" when you look at this body style. Like the contrasting color of the fenders and frame. Clean looking engine and chassis details.
  17. Great looking in flat black. That Buick engine would really make this thing get up and move.
  18. Great looking Mustang. Like the color and finish and the blue interior better complements the body color well.
  19. I bought the car from a guy who was building it and he had run out of money. He had already put the "bus" taillights in the fenders. I thought they looked great and being a small car, in traffic on the freeway, a very good idea.
  20. Beautiful looking car. As a child I had a toy of this car that was made by Dinky in England, it was one of my favorites.
  21. So many elegant looking cars. They weren't bashful with colors either. At the time these were produced they would cost more than half a block of medium-priced homes.
  22. Great looking Chevy and I like your back story. The Keystones would fit the time frame, but she would need a club of some sort to keep the guys away.
  23. My go to tape would be Tamiya masking tape. Rather than trying to mask around the edges I would use their tape that is wide enough to cover beyond the edge of the part you are going to paint. Next burnish the outline of the part you are masking. Burnish the edge between the part you are painting and the area you want to mask. This area can also be made easier to see if you even run a pencil in the outline of the part. This will make it easier to see where you will guide your blade to trim the masking tape. Remove the tape from the area you want to paint and then again be sure that the surrounding area is properly covered. A light coat of clear might even be a good idea to help seal the edges and prevent any chrome from running under the edge of the tape, if you're not sure of how good of a cut line you have between the protected part and the part you're painting. Start with a couple of light dust coats of the chrome paint before doing any heavier coats of paint. Before removing the masking tape after the paint has dried lightly use your blade along the edge of the masking tape with enough pressure to cut any bond between the tape and your painted surface. The tape should be pulled back on itself slowly and stop if the paint isn't lifting cleanly. You may have to redo the blade along any area that isn't coming off cleanly and especially around curved lines as well as corners. This should work with either spray chrome products or even a liquid pen.
  24. Great looking build and engine detailing.
