  1. The build subject is a really interesting vehicle and was also a very fast Rally Car at one time. The color and finish on this build may very well look better than the real car. The ride height looks something like its stance when driven on a gravel stage. On the tarmac it would sit a little lower. The body trim is all cleanly done and the wheel colors look just like the real car.
  2. The diorama almost overpowers the model, and that's saying something when you look at the model.
  3. Great looking color and finish. Clean looking body trim. Like the wheels and red lines.
  4. I agree with you and Zippi on this color. The finish is nice and smooth as well. The original 1:1 had a contrasting color around the side windows and the rear window with slim chrome trim dividing the two colors. Don't know if that is even a consideration as to your vision for this.
  5. On this subject. Yesterday I got a text from the guy who bought our old house a couple of years ago. He said he received in the mail a credit card from a bank he didn't deal with but had my EMail address with his name and our old address on the envelope. We agreed to destroy the card.
  6. Great looking Chevy II. The color combination is a good representation of an OEM color combination. The chrome foil work looks great.
  7. Great looking paint finish. The low lighting and the diorama setting really add to the appearance. The engine detailing is very realistic looking. Always fun to build a subject you're familiar with and enjoy.
  8. Building a model of vehicles from your past can be fun as well as frustrating.
  9. Maybe a '60 Chevy impala interior? This is based on the seat patterns and the placing of the rear seat shape.
  10. Sounds like identity theft to me.
  11. Beautiful looking box art build. The added engine detailing with the wheels and tires looks great.
  12. Beautiful smooth paint and the decal sponsors decals look like a sign painter did them. Like the way you reshaped the firewall and notched it for the air scoop.
  13. Great looking paint finish and color. Clean looking body trim.
  14. I agree with everyone else on your engine choice. The interior looks like you used door cards and seats from a Camero. Great looking paint finish.

Beautiuful looking paint color and finish. The chrome trim is all cleanly done. Great looking engine and chassis detailing. Like the wheels and stance.
  16. Major plastic surgery going on here.
  17. Great looking paint and decal work. The added under hood painted details add to the appearance.
  18. Interesting theory. I was under the impression that they just kept raising the prices until people stopped buying their models unless the 40 % off price was just below the MSRP.
  19. While always being a fan of the subject of these kits, the body proportions have also been a big disappointment.
  20. Looks like you're ready to go on the Power Tour with this rig. The engine looks like it belongs and is nicely detailed. Like the way the interior looks. The color and the stock looking hub caps make it disappear in traffic.
  21. Like the first one.
  22. As Mark has suggested, stirring may be the best approach for a paint that has been standing for a long time. Another benefit if using just the stirring method is the residue on the inside of the screw top doesn't spread to the meeting surface between the top and the edge of the bottle. Over time a buildup of paint forms between the top and the bottle and makes it hard to remove the top. Since I have stopped shacking small paint bottles to mix the paint and stirring them only this problem has all but stopped.
  23. Very clean looking finishes. The wheels seem right at home on this body style.
  24. Great looking paint finishes, and the added dirt and grime adds the well-used look.
  25. Great looking used and abused finish. Like the added mud flaps.
