Great looking two-tone paint and finish. Like the interior. -
Beautiful paint color and finish. Nice contrasting interior color. Like the wheel & tire combo and the engine detailing.

Maybe remove the lettering from the tire so they match. You could get some decal tire name lettering if that's the look you're wanting.

Used to live in Sacramento, not far from the CHP substation off I-80. Driving an '86 Monte Carlo SS that I never mounted a front license plate on and had tinted windows. California required a front plate, and it was death on the side windows tinted from the B pillar forward. So, I go in for the inspection by the CHP to get my ticket signed off, Sacramento can be really hot during the summer months. I had the front plate held in place with zip ties and parked with the windows rolled down. The Inspection officer steps outside and sees my car a good 100 feet away and its summer in Sacramento. He takes two steps out of the door, looks at my car, and motions me back inside and signs off the Fixit Ticket. When I sold the car years later the mounting bracket for the front plate was still in the trunk and the original window tint was still on the windows. Ya hot summers. -
I have been pleased with the results using Tamiya Polishing Compound, Finish. Others are Mequiar's Plastx Cleaner & Polish as well as Nu Finish Scratch Doctor.

I remember when you were fixing up Blue Cloud some time back. That is the engine I was think of. I know GM and others offer a wide variety of engine mounts and ancillary hardware to put an LS engine in there as well, it's just money after all. With the original Pontiac engine idea, you could use just about any displacement Pontiac engine since they pretty much look alike on the outside. One very big advantage with this truck was that the GMC's used the Hydromatic instead of the Powerglide of the day. Even there so many late model transmission options are out there, again it's only money. Don't rule out a late model LS and trans. takeout from a wrecking yard. See a lot of happy owners with the 5.3 LS and trans out of a late model pick up or Suburban. I like the wraparound rear window on this truck. -
If it's serving your purpose than the cost of the unneeded extras are better spent on a C D or models. Did much the same thing a few years ago for my wife's Jeep Cherokee. They wanted $1k for the black powder coated wheels, the same wheel as standard but black. Another $1500 for the leather interior but included a sunroof and a few other items that she never would use. Her last car had a sunroof which she used a handful of times and just as a vent when the car had been sitting in the sun and hot inside, had a/c anyway. I always thought the Santa Cruz was an interesting looking vehicle, and the basic design is something I would consider if I was in the market. Having owned a couple of El Caminos long ago I have always wished GM would bring them back in their original form and not the proposals I've seen based on a new compact truck.

The best part is your furry friends are having a great time and using some of their basic instincts.

Sad but life out there is tuff for our feathered friends.

Crows don't even get along with other crows. They'll pretty much eat whatever doesn't eat them first.

Interesting build. A 1/12th scale build would take up my whole work bench.

Good right sized vehicle that you can still haul yard stuff in.

Like the GMC. Hard to find any vehicle this age in this condition let alone a pickup. You mention the bed floor maybe being an issue. Your idea of a diamond plate bed floor sounds good if you're going to do a lot of hauling. Reproduction wood kits are available if you wanted to go with a more "Pretty Truck" look. The basic Chevy Create 350 Motor is hard to beat for the dollar spent. -

Like the '70's style clean look on the body finish and trim. Great body color and the stripe colors go well with the finish. Dish slotted wheels of the day as well. -
Great looking paint and finish. The striping looks nice and straight. Like the contrasting white interior.

Great looking paint color and finish. Clean body trim and engine detailing.

One common body mod was to fill the openings in the front roll pan where the bumper supports passed through. The downside was that the protection that the bumper provided was then gone. As for the headlight chrome removal. Try a 10-to-15-minute bath in your basic pure bleach product. Has never seemed to affect the kit plastic. -
Great looking paint color and a very smooth finish.

Have seen and heard of many cars and trucks that the owners would delay even the most basic maintenance such as regular oil changes and filters. Then they bad mouth the vehicle when they have an issue because they failed to do what anyone with any common sense would do to keep a vehicle running. Outside of your home vehicles tend to be your second largest investment and to not care for that investment shows a lack of common sense. -
Please let all of us know how good, or bad this pen is when you test fly it. Could be a rebrand of the Molotow product, or a blatant fraud.
