The BBC Top Gear show used to have some interesting and often silly adventures with the three hosts. One time they were doing a spoof on car-based motor homes, and a few looked a lot like this creation.
From the picture it looks like a candy green over a gold base. Notice the gold on the firewall that appears to have been masked off and the green shade on the body looks a little thin and gold highlight showing through.
Thank you for the information on Round 2's future reissues. I like the way they have added to the appearance and options on these. I better start saving up since it looks like they'll be getting some of my model building money soon.
Great looking build and finishes. Someone in the Motor Pool is in trouble, looks like the Navy has been parking their equipment to close to the Ocean and not caring for the finish.
Beautiful paint and color. Like the photography and the landscape background. You may want to double check the year model represented since this looks more like a '67 than a '68 if that should even matter.
Great work with the body. The assembly issues with fit and finish on this kit has kept me from starting the one I have. Great paint finishes and color.
I have always liked seeing Canadian cars and trucks. Most of the styling reminds me of a mild custom approach to what I would normally see in the US. Like the grill and rear end changes along with the side trim.
Great sounding story and it does make sense since if he did run into something he would have a better chance to survive in such a truck compared to some econobox. Your usual great looking patina finishes throughout.
Like the suicide doors as well. I remember reading an article in Hot Rod long ago about someone chopping the top on a full size '40 and he remarked about how difficult it was to get the proportions to look right since there are so many different lines around the window and their shapes.
