Beautiful looking build. as always the black paint really stands out. Not being very familiar with this body style, at first glance the front reminded me of an '80's Monte Carlo.

Excellent paint and interior. The color combination really show the voluptuous lines of this year model Ford.

Beautiful looking finishes through out and I like the showroom style. Can you imagine a time when you could walk into a Dodge dealership and have something like this on the showroom floor. Present day Hell Cats aside.

Great looking cruiser. I like the colors and the finish looks great. Nicely detailed engine also.

Your list of modifications and extra parts used really helps understand what all went into this build. This is beautifully done as seen at first glance, but without the information provided it would be hard to fully appreciate what all you have done.

Very creative and looks to be well thought out. -
The paint is outstanding. You mention the Tamiya spray Smoked color. I did the same treatment on one of the '66 Malibu Wagons I built and it looks perfect. I masked everything but the interior side of the glass. Sprayed a very light coat and allowed to dry. I then dipped it in Future Floor polish and let it dry. It was then ready to go.

I was finally able to get one yesterday at HL. The first store only had an empty space on the shelf where it would have been. The second stop I found either the last or only one they had. The kit it's self looks great and no real problems at all that I can see. Now this is only my personal feeling and I'm sure there are those that would disagree, but I still think the front of the hood wear it drops to the leading edge is to sharp of an edge. Again this is just my opinion. The only mold parting line I can see so far is at the rear edge of the trunk lid and the rear fender caps and not any greater than what you would find on almost any kit. The bodies finish is just as others have described and almost as if they had pre sanded it. In fact on the trunk lid again this time at the point were it starts it's down turn looks as if they had all but removed a parting line there. Anyone with even the most remote interest in the '67 Impala 4 door Hardtop should pick one up.

I was just thinking that looks a lot like your Skyline. Another super smooth looing build, I like this style a lot.

Now this is a timely picture. I had a bright red '68 Bel Air and have thought about building the new '67 Impala that color. This car looks like a two door hardtop with the extra cost corner lights. The fender engine emblem looks like a 327 cu.in. engine designation. Notice the "Woody" wagon in the second line. The light metallic blue hardtop in front of it was a common color at that time also.

Beautiful looking finish thru out. The color is eye catching for sure. The exterior trim is all very cleanly done.

I agree with Bucky, the paint redo is even better than before.
-
Great looking interior. I like your engine detailing and the way the body is trimmed.

Came out great, I like the paint and the color. Got to like a Ford with the tear drop hood.

The steering wheel in the picture looks pretty good to me. The flams look amazing with the clear on them. What did you use for the headlight rings ?

I was working in a Chevrolet dealership in central California, in the '70's, when we received some inventory orders. One ( which I ordered as my demo) had the factory sliding sun roof and came off the truck with about 3 to 4 inches of water standing in the rear foot wells. The dealer informed me that we weren't going to order any more sun roof cars only T-Tops as needed. I had the same problem with a '67 Type 1 with the factory roof. Seems assembly lines and sun roof drain lines don't seem to work together very well.

That color really looks great. I like the "Live Edge" bed wood treatment, that's original looking. Nice interior. -
Great looking custom. The color contrast really stands out.
-
Great looking AAR. I always liked the hood design on this model. Not sure of the objections you have on this, it looks fine in the photos.

Great looking mild custom. I like the smooth style with a lot of the extra chrome removed. Very clean looking build. I'm working on the Aerosedan right now and it sounds like many others are doing the same. These are very nicely detailed kits.

I like the fade paint job. Good looking wheels also.

For wheels and tires like the photos I think that the Pegasus #1125 Chrome reverse wheel & tire combo might be the best. I have used them a few times and the bolt circle area even looks like the photo of the '51 Ford. Round 2 has issued another great set under the AMT brand and many hobby shops do carry them, I try and grab a set when ever I see them. Next, the Revell '56 Chevy Del Rey kit had a nice set of wide whites in an OEM style 6.70x15 tire. You might put out a request on the "Wanted" section on the forum if you can't find anything else that would work.

The T-Bolt is a Revell product and your Fairlane I think is from AMT so there is bound to be some factors there but nothing that you couldn't overcome. I think I remember building one of these a long time ago and thought that AMT had the body looking correct. I had a neighbor who owned one of these with the 271/289 and I remember it since it had the distinct solid lifter sound and the exhaust note left no doubt as to what it was. So I look forward to seeing how your build goes.
