Great looking pictures and I also like the sky shots. My question, since I have moved cross country before, is why you had to hire separate groups to load and the truck transportation ? We used moving companies and they provided their own loaders and unloaders at each end of the move.

Like the Snake I didn't know anything about the TV program before this kit came about. Not something I would get very worked up over it sounds like. Now the kit and especially the subject being something out of the ordinary is why I have two to build now.

They have done very well in this form of racing as well. The World Rally Cup racing is what I find so amazing. I have seen these things fly, literally, off the gravel road thru ditches over tree stumps back on the road and bounce of a boulder or two and just keep going. Their gas pedal seems to be an On/Off switch.

Very cleanly built. Beautiful looking paint and the under hood details look great.

Beautiful looking paint work. I like the flavor of your build.

MPC Bronco

Looking at the parts laid out I have a new found interest in the old MPC kits. -
1960 Ford F-100

I like how you habve changed the body for the better. I remember the '50/'48 Ford F-1 build. Just follow that pattern and it will look killer. Maybe leave the chrome hub caps also. -
With the bad things I have heard about trying to paint this type of interior material you might consider casting it in resin that would then be easier to paint. I like the looks of the wheels and tires at this point.

My 1:1 Cars
espo replied to Ghost_33's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
The Camaro looks good, especially with the LS3 engine, The Audi is the one I would like to see more off. I think they are great cars anyway but as a Shooting Brake, Long Roof, or Wagon they just seem much more interesting. -
While somewhat off the subject but still about Volvos. Should someone want to see just how sturdy these vehicles are just look up some of the Swedish Rally film clips on YouTube.

They're either going retro or they're very old stock. Ha Ha. Either way should work.

The earliest spin on filters were a medium to dark blue in color. I'm thinking the white filters started sometime in the '70's.

MCM Relaunch Update 08/2020
espo replied to larrygre's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Great news and I look forward to getting the new issue as soon as it hits the stands. -
Here here. The SWC team was a force to deal with in Drag Racing and if you blinked they would put you on the trailer as quick as anybody.

I would suggest applying the decals before the clear coat. Many have different opinions on this but this is mine. I have only used "The Treatment" model wax once and while it will give you a shine in my experience it turned out to be a little more aggressive than what I needed at the time and went thru the color coat in my case. My thought is that if you used this product after the decals are applied it may damage the decals. Will be interesting to see what others suggest.

A 41 Willys Roadster mash up... made of leftover parts!
espo replied to Claude Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
Well it shows in your model, again well built. -
I agree, very clean looking and the paint work is really nice. I like the headlight tint also.

To each their own. I would be embarrassed to be seen even close to it, but that's just me. Others may look upon it and get excited, although I don't know why.

There has been a lot of discussion about the rear Bumper position on this kit. When I look at it I have to agree that the Bumper should sit higher or closer to the Tail Lights and rear Body Panel based on what I see in the pictures of 1:1 cars here. What I have noticed based again on these pictures is that the rear Bumper doesn't come all the way down to the bottom edge of the rear Quarter Panels. Looking at the pictures of both the blue Chevelle and the lt. Metallic Green SS395 it appears that the lower edge of the Quarter Panel is actually lower than the rear Bumper. Depending on the angle in my mind it looks as if you could draw a line from the bottom edge of the body panel and it would align with the rear most edge of the Bumper. This would put the leading edge of the Bumper just above the body panel where they meet.

Looks great and I like the Hugger Orange color, I had a '69 Camaro the same color. The dark Saddle interior goes perfect with the exterior and show off the interior details better than if it were Black.

Great looking Vette. I like the jacked up aggressive ride height. The open wheels without the Hub Caps add to the look.
-
Well built, I like that you have the Hardtop also and it actually fits, amazing in its self.
-
They turned out great. I watched your build on these two and I can understand how it would get tedious doing the same thing twice. I also like how you left off the rear deck spoiler since it seems like everyone else including myself use the spoiler.

Very nice and the color is really bright looking.
