I like the little '40 Coupe and thank you for the build information on it. I followed your two others during construction so I know the '40's special also.

The paint looks like a mirror and I like how you got the shade of blue color. The engine detailing is something to study, really well done.

Beautifully built. The paint finish is outstanding. All it might need is a little SCCA inspection sticker.

Nice work on the B Pillar for your conversion. I like your idea here. In '67 I ordered a new '68 Bel Air 2 door with the 385hp 427 and 4 speed. the reason for the 385 hp engine was that was the top engine that they would put factory Air Conditioning in. Many Law Enforcement Agencies used the '67 and '68 full size Chevrolets but most were the Turbo 400 transmission.

Drug home another project

Why would the Crank Pully be missing ? I take it this wasn't driven home. -
So this is just a paint experiment ?? I like how you kept the chopped top at a reasonable height.

I like the way the C-1 kit makes the body look and with that engine and the wheels and tires this is a really fun looking truck. -
Great looking paint work. Those are some back tires.
-
Striking paint color. Nice engine detailing and I like the red line tires.

Beautifully done. You really captured the look and I remember seeing many done with this style paint treatment. Most still had stock bumpers and grills since you can only afford what you can afford. I sent many years in Santa Monica, Crestline, San Bernardino before moving to the central coast.

Wait until they get their bill for running the Air Conditioning this summer. Trees provide so much in so many ways that most don't even realize. Not to mention they're much nicer to look at.
-
Check with your city console about deed restrictions having to do with trees. Some cities require at least one tree in the front yard and many cities have planted tree close to the street. I could be a violation if they cut down the city's tree. Might be worth a look.

I like how you completely changed the body on this. Great paint as well.
-
You really captured the look of the 1:1 Delivery.

Very impressive paint job. Not often you see a '69 Camaro done as a custom, turned out great.
-
Your paint and the color came out great. I like how you detailed the engine. Good stance also.
-
I like how you did the trunk opening, very realistic looking.

Ya you don't want to stop your F-100 to fast in front of a Focus. Actually Ford and GM as well as others offer some interesting configurations of vehicles we see. I was in Mexico for a long weekend about 35 years ago. I was working in a GM dealership at the time and between the air port and the hotel they drove us by a Chevrolet dealership. At first glance the cars and trucks looked the same until you start noticing grills and trim and additional doors here and there. Different markets with different buyers. You either build what they want or need or go out of business.

What ELSE did you build? Non auto related.

I have a stash of wood in my basement "Garden Room". This is a little bigger than a 1 car garage with double doors opening under the deck. I have saved some of the larger 2x4 and 2x6 left over from when we had the house built 20 years ago and redid the deck about ten years ago. I have not had to buy a 2x4 or 2x6 for as long as I can remember and this wood was going to the landfill anyway. I used some of the scraps to build a double shelf storage unit to store the wood on and park my push mower and garden trailer and fertilizer spreader under. -

I would have found a place to stack those blocks. You just know you're going to need them next week if you throw these away now. I have a small stock pile behind my garage where I keep any left over blocks from yard projects. -
What market place does Ford offer this rig ??
-
Amazing body work.

I understand that one. I'm funning about the great deal you got. I'm usually the guy trying to off load a bunch of parts. Does make you wonder about the background on the treasure trove you found.

I remember many trucks with the "lollypop" turn signals on the top of their fenders. In that era turn signals and even a second tail light was still an option and not required in most states. This model truck would usually have just one tail light combined with the license mounting on one of the rear doors. The car in the background on the showroom floor looks like a '49 or '50 Chevrolet. This maybe a truck the dealership used for a parts chaser or something and they added some of the dealer installed dress up items that they sold. Who ever did the lettering did a real nice job.
