  1. This whole roof thing has me scratching my head. While I'm looking forward to what all you are doing with this, the roof just keeps me going. I now think the windshield may be the rear window from the base Catalina kit and the rear window still looks like a '60's Challenger. Again great looking work here.
  2. I would mock up the cab and floor and set it on the frame and then you would know for sure how well it would work. Depending on the thickness of the fender parts this may lower the cab enough to change the alignment with the radiator and or the bed. Should this be a problem just insert a small shim of plastic under the floor to replicate the fender units space.
  3. Great pictures on your second post, same garbly goop on the first.
  4. Very nice clean looking build. Where did you get the lettering or did you make those yourself ?
  5. This is a very cool build. The detailing and the body modifications are outstanding. I looked in on your build often and all your hard work sure paid off. This looks almost as real as a real vehicle.
  6. Man that is a low looking roof. The rear window reminds me of a Dodge Challenger. Very Kool looking Kustom.
  7. Very nice looking Ford. I don't even know where you'd find an old AMT annual of this anymore. The Continental Kit looks period perfect.
  8. Beautiful looking build. Great paint work and very cleanly finished details including the engine and interior. In 1969 this was also a very popular color on a lot of Road Runners also.
  9. I really like the stock vibe here. I have never built this kit stock, shame on me. The color combination and your very clean looking build looks great. These cars were very much ahead of their time.
  10. Can't we just leave this alone. It will happen when it happens.
  11. Meguiar's has a product called Plastx clear plastic cleaner and polish. This will also work on your 1:1 cars and trucks. I first used it years ago on the smoked plexiglass windshield on a ski boat I had back when headlights were made of glass instead of plastic on the 1:1's.
  12. I'm spoiled by being on this forum. Have no particular interest in the other forum.
  13. I have had limited experience with this problem, but I have had good luck with Testors Detail Bonder. I think the biggest issue will be with the overall condition of the decals. Last year I did a Datsun 510 kit from the '70's and the decals were very yellowed. While soaking the decals in water a substance like mud came off with a light wipe off in the water. The decals still laid down OK.
  14. I think I like your new color even better.
  15. I had forgotten that Jo-Han even offered the Marlin years ago. This should really be done showroom stock if for no other reason than being so rare.
  16. This is a very popular treatment now. Nice rustic look.
  17. He was a great comedian and made me laugh until I had tears more than once. R.I.P.
  18. Great engineering and design. I like the finishes.
  19. Great looking aging, this truck has led a hard life.
  20. The bed modifications really modernize the appearance of your build. The grill looks better than the stock Ford grill. Good colors and the stance looks great.
  21. Thanks for the info, that's a great looking body.
  22. Ya, I had almost forgotten about this one also. I hope you can get this one going again.
  23. Nice looking resin body, this should be interesting.
  24. I think you're going about this the right way.
  25. Great looking build. The engine, chassis and interior are perfect. I like the well used looking exterior.
